Hi Ladies,

Well Im back home now and resting, i dont feel in too much pain just uncomfy.
I was in a lot of pain when I came round, the lady woke me up and I just started sobbing I was so embarrassed lol! so she gave me some morphine.
Im quite dizzy and wobbly on my feet but think thats because Im groggy!

Milliemoo did you have problems eating? I cant swallow my throat is so dry and tight!

Floofymad good luck tomorrow i dont know what youve been told but id recommend you take some sanitry towels, and some bottles of water for after, I took orange ribena and it made me so thirsty...also a book or mag to keep you occupied while waiting as hubby wasnt allowed on with me and im so glad I had a book!

I'm glad it went ok! My throat was really sore but I just drank loads of water and managed to have some toast. But I didn't stop drinking and now it's fine! How are your shoulders? Mine are still killing!

Its more in my chest atm, i finding it helps to only do little breaths lol and im walking all bent over , hopeyou start to feel better soon xx

the thirsty feeling is normal, VERY annoying though.

i wasn't allowed to eat or drink beforehand and the surgery quarters were extremely busy when i had my surgery,
basically i had to wait 'till 4pm (i went in at 7am) before it was my turn.
eventually got one drink at 7pm, then they took me back to my room
and i got dinner served (sandwiches, but meh, i'm not picky)

very weird that feeling in your mouth, all so dry
had to drink alot to swallow everything hehe
very annoyed at that feeling bc your taste is less than normal too.

anyway, it was back to normal the morning after, thankgod!

Omg you poor thing, how did you cope all that time? its a bit better today i think its the tube they put down your throat

just back from m and OD,(6 holes in each ovary, no endo) went better than i thought really.
i went in and they said "oh your first", was bit scared at that but better to get it over and done with. i remember waking up and rambling to the nurse about dreaming of being drunk with DH!, not sure where it came from
had strong AF like pains then and they give me a shot of something that made me feel quite off my head all day
I have 3 cuts, one near bellybutton and one each side of tummy i thought they would be lower?) but anyway back home now and planning on milking it for a couple of days why not ay.
cant stop drinking water either, feels like iv been eating sand!

I'm having a lap and dye on the 21st, I'm not too nervous about it, yet!

The only thing which alarmed me was that someone on here say they also go in through your vagina? Is this a definate?

It freaks me out abit, knowing I'll be out of it and someone will be down there :/

i think it is so they can insert the dye through your cervix, i had hsg and this was the way they put the dye in.
today i thought i would be able to leave my underwear on as having already done that, so half way to theatre the nurse asked if id took it off? oops back to the ward to remove my underwear,lol
couldnt understand why but when i came round they had put like a puppy training pad under my bum incase of any bleeding.
if your asleep ya cant get embarassesd then

Hey girls,
Just got back from hospital.... Went in at 5pm yesterday and had operation about 8pm. Came round about 9.15 pm completely freaking out - apparently I had to be sedated and was kicking and 'thrashing about'.....
Thought I'd dealt with my nerves quite well but obviously not.
The upshot is the gyno found 'widespread endometriosis' and got rid of what he could. He showed me pictures this morning of it on my bladder, and in various places surrounding my womb.
In lots of pain right now, Stomach really hurts, throat hurts from tube and shoulder hurts when I move. Still, don't feel as bad as I did last night.
Have to see gyno again in 3 months to see how I am. He said medication can help but won't be able to get pregnant if go down that route.

Hi ladies! It sounds like it's gone well for all of you! I'm glad! It's been almost a week since mine now and all the stitches are still in place but I'm still getting aches and pains in my shoulders which is really starting to annoy me so in still living on pain killers!

I go back on Monday so I had a whole week off! I'm starting to go abut stir crazy now so I'm looking forward to getting out! Although I decided this morning that it would be a good idea to clean the oven and hob and after I finished my shoulders started killing again! I think I still need to take it easy!

Yeah, people might see me sitting up and think I'm ok etc, but shoulders are really hurting and stomach is really bad. Going to be off, but not sure how long. x
