Lap coming up

My hsg showed a blocked tube, so it looks like I need to have a laparoscopy. That's going to be done at the end of July (we'll be out of town the next two weeks on vacation).

My re wants to make sure everything is optimal before proceeding and I agree. Anyone have any insight into the procedure?

I'm really nervous about it because I HATE anesthesia, and I expect to come out of it heading towards IVF.

I have had lap twice and it was no big deal. Yes, you may have some uncomfortable air pockets and be a bit sore afterwards, but I would do it again in a heartbeat if necessary. My first was for tumor removal off my uterus, the second was to scope inside my uterus and check tubes, burn off endo, etc. I was much more sore the first time than the second.
