So, just giving a post of my surgery to shed some light for other people.

I had a Laparascopy and Hysteroscopy done on Friday. I just got my results of the procedure yesterday.

So, my cervix was completely closed and the dr had to cut it, then dilate it to get inside. Thank the lord I was put to sleep (no pain). Then he did the two procedures. The end result, both my tubes are cleared, my uterus is normal size, and I had one spot of endometrius. I received a copy of the picture.

So, after surgery I had major cramps and was very drowsy so they gave me percocet and I went to sleep in reccovery. I left the hospital 3 hours later. I felt much better.

I did get cut at my belly button and one cut on my lower right side.

The belly button cut felt kind of weird but not bad.

The day after I started seeing this puss stuff coming out of my belly button it was really weird, I tried to clean it out but was really freaky so i left it until I saw the doctor.

When i went to the doctor he told me, since the belly button is hard to seal they use a skin glue right after the operation (duh, why didnt you tell me), Im thinking im uzzzzzing puss. So he gets a long q tip and pulls out this big piece of glue, yuk! It didnt hurt.

So, here I am today, day two of birth control for one month. Then on to clomid wehn I get my period and then my first IUI. Im looking forward to a week of April , 2010, IUI cycle.

Anyone else in that boat?????

well i had my same procedure on feb 23rd...ens resuld one opened tube one still blocked....so i will start trying in april...im really excited was diagnosed with blocked tubes in 2008 so im blessed to have one open...now...keep me posted on your success..im going to try clomid in may if NOT PREGNANT IN APRIL.......GOOD LUCK TO US ALL

Heaven Sent,

Are you trying naturally with clomid or are you doing IUI?

im going to definetly try natural..first i want to be as "natural" as possible

Hi I'm new to this so sorry if this is not the right thread for this question. I have been ttc for 18 months and have just had blood tests for which the results which were 'normal' so I was told I won't need clomid because I am apparently ovulating (which opk's already showed me) My next step is a scan and then Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy.

My question is, did you know you were not ovulating before you had the Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy and that is why after a month of birth control you will have to take clomid? Did you have a scan before this too?

I am really grateful to read your knowledge of the procedure as I had no idea what to expect. I'm hoping something shows up on the scan and spares me that operation, but that's unlikely I guess.

Good luck and it sounds like at least things are being done and your time will come soon x

Blueclo,
yes I knew I was not ovulating before the surgery my af is very irregular.

So, my BCP are almost finshed. Then on to Clomid, I go back to the Dr on Tuesday for next steps. I can wait!

Hi, i hope this is not totally out of the topic/thread.

Is the timing of laparoscopy and hysteroscopy critical or can it be done on any day of the cycle?

I've had one done in 2008 with my 1st gyne where she did it between Day 7-10 but this new gyne i have is scheduling it for Day 22.

Any comments of how you had yours scheduled?

Hi

I am also going in for laproscopy and hysteroscopy in July. My doc is scheduling it on CD 5 as the lining is the min at the time and its easy to see any abnormalities in the uterus. Anyway, there is a polyp that has shown up on my u/s which needs to be removed so maybe thats why also she wants a clear view of the uterus.
