Few of you probably read my post yesterday about the stop smoking thing.

Woke up this morning really determined. Slapped on my patch, sprayed the mouth spray and BAM!
I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA DIE!
I couldnt breath at all. The mouth spray made me feel like i had a lump in my throat. Kinda like..
When your heaving to be sick, but nothings coming and you cant get your breath. Now im petrified
To use it again.

I tried giving up soooo many times and failed then when I got pregnant I read easy quit Allen Carr. It's a task to read but I haven't smoked since. Worth a try. Good luck x

I'm so sorry! Don't beat yourself up about it. I find when I quit (obviously un-successfully because I have never been able to STAY quit permanently) the only cessation tool I can use are the lozenges. A couple of the things I find to be most effective is 1) not beating myself up about lapsing and wanting that ciggie, and 2) redirection. I acknowledge that I really want that smoke, then I say okay, go change the bed/laundry/mop the floor/feed the horses, whatever and if I still want one when that is done, then we can reconsider. I never, ever beat myself up about wanting a cig. I've been a smoker on and off for 25 years, longer than I've been anything else in my life.

Dont give up! I know you can do it!

Keep your chin up hun, it'll be worth it in the end xxx

You can do it hun. Of course it wont be easy but you made a good start this morning. Stay strong. You've got this!

Don't give up hun! You can do it!! One lapse does not make a failure. I promise that the longer you can go without a cig, the easier it gets! I found by weeks 2 and 3 in quitting, I would go a whole day without even thinking about a cigarette!

Maybe to help, make a list of all of the reasons that you want to quit and then read over that list every time you have a craving.

If you can, get a change of scenery. A week's holiday, even staying with a (non-smoker!) friend or family member. Don't take any cigarettes, don't allow yourself to go places where you could buy them. Once you get over the first few days, it gets a lot easier. It'll be hard but your baby is worth it.

I dont think id of had one if that spray hadnt of given me a panic attack. I was in a really good mindset this morning.
It shook me up :(
