Last night Intense pain...

Well I woke in the middle of last night having (I think) been laid on my back for a while (I have to when my hips start hurting or there's no respite) and had THE most intense pain in my abdomen and back! No idea why... so I shifted onto my left side and felt baby move but the pain didn't go away instantly, it took a while but eventually did.

Anyone any ideas what it could've been?! :/

Ooh no that doesn't sound nice! Maybe it was related to you lying on your back as I know this can block an artery, so maybe it was pain from that. Or it could be that baby was lying on a nerve. However I really don't know and didn't want to read and run, so may be best if it happens again to call your mw? x

I have had that and it sometimes makes me feel dizzy too. Think everything gets compressed, your vena cava atery, spine everything! If you have to lie on your back, bending your knees with a pillow propped under them helps loads I find. Otherwise, my physio suggested folding up an old duvet and lying on that in the night for extra padding to help cushion your hips (I have SPD so know all about hip pain).
