Hello! Im hoping someone can help or have BTDT stories. I was taking oral birth control for 12 years. I recently got off my pills the end of February and have not had a period since. Ive had symptoms such as cramping once a month, but my period never came! I went to the doctor and they did blood work on me, and everything seems fine except my white blood count was low. All hormone was fine. Im not pregnant, I was give proestrogen to jump start my period. I was told that I could have PCOS , but the only symptom that I connected with is no period. He said that at this point Ill have a hard time getting pregnant.
This is just my primary care physician, not a gynecologist (and a military doctor at that). So I dont know if I should be less freaked out because he is not a gynocologist.
Anyone else had issues with missing periods after getting off birth control and can tell me about your experience?!? 😳
