Late '12' week scan anyone?

My scan is not until 18th June which puts me at 13w4D going by an earlier scan or 13w6D going from LMP. Is/has anyone had theirs that late? It was 2 weeks sooner but I had a scan and she said I was 2 weeks earlier than I thought so I moved the appointment back as it would have been too early. Then I had another scan that put me at 8+4 at the time but by then I already has the appointment for the 18th. Am 11w now and waiting all the way to 13+4 seems forever away!

My scan with my little boy was at 12 weeks but my sis in law had hers at 14 weeks!

Mine was 13weeks 4days Hun and that's only because I called for a cancellation, it sould have been 14w1d. I vaguely recall having all my '12' week scans between 12& 14 weeks, and believe they can do them from 10w to 14w.....frustrating when you're waiting though it'll be here before you know it!

How much can you see? Will it be clearer than at 12 weeks? I'm soooo excited. At 8+4 I could see limbs and hands that looked like paddles! She was in there waving. Have had problems so had 3 early scans and although it all feels fine I just want to know everything is ok. I have little patience at the best of times.

Yup Im having mine at 13+5, here you just take what your given it could be from 10-14/15wks. just too busy to get every one a scan at bang on 12weeks in many clinics and its still accurate anyway just a longer wait!!x

Presumably they can still get accurate results from the tests they do at that scan then.

Mine was at 13 + 5 and they still had a hard time getting a decent view because my uterus hadn't popped yet. My feeling is the later the better because you'll see more. I did have an emergency scan at 11 weeks (due to bleeding) and the difference in 2 weeks was really noticeable. Enjoy it. It will be worth the wait.

I had mine at exactly 13 weeks.. My picture is the scan, I personally feel it is slightly clearer than some of 12 weeks xxx

Yep mine is at 13+6. Its totally normal. In the thinning I was gutted coz I wanted it earlier but you will get a much clearer pic! X

My scan is at 13 weeks aswell to be honest I'd prefer a scan at 13 weeks then 11 because the baby is more developed so looks more like a baby in my eyes so I'm happy to have a later scan date

Mine is at 14 weeks (or at least I think it is!). Happy for it to be later as more to see and then I am out of the first trimester at the same time and will feel more confident telling family etc

Mine was at 13 weeks and I was measuring 13+5 weeks.

I'm 12 weeks 2 days, my first midwife appt is tomorrow and she wont book the first scan until tomorrow and she probably won't be able to get me in for a scan for another few weeks so i will be way over 14 weeks, so it will be too late for any testing! You are lucky, it's just the NHS for you x

Mummy to be you won't miss your scanning time if you see your mw late they can arrange it in a couple of days it's jut how some hospitals work x

The NHS give me a scan at 17 weeks! I rang them and told them I would be 17 weeks and they didn't seem to mind. I sent a letter asking how they can date me from 17 weeks and they sent me a new appointment at 13 weeks. I'm happy with this! It's better than week 17! lol x

I had my booking appointment 2 weeks ago with my midwife and I have lots of other appointments come through like my GTT and appointments at the antenatal clinic but no scan date as yet #stalkingthepostman

I had mine at 13w 4d. I didn't know how far along I was so the MW guessed when I'd be 12 weeks :L
But it was so much clearer than DD's 12 week scan. It looked more like her 20 week scan. Was amazing how much of a difference 2 weeks makes.

I agree mine was so clear got to see tiny fingers and toes.i could even make out some sort of muscle definition on baby's calves....worth waiting for xxx
