Hi so this is whats going on.... a couple of times now i've felt really really wet and gone to the toilet and my knickers were soaking, it wasn't urine as it didn't smell and sometimes i'll feel a trickle coming out of my vagina as well. I've been feeling faint again so left a msg with midwife yesterday to ring me about it.
She rang today and said i need to get in touch with the delivery suite, i thought this was strange as i'm not passed 20 weeks but didnt question it damnit!! rang the delivery suite and they said they can't see me cos i'm 19 weeks and to get in touch with primary care, and now i can't seem to speak to anyone human all i'm getting is answer machines, tried midwife and hers is answer machine too. Left a message, has anyone else had this apparently they do tests anyone know any further details or know information on this???? I'm certain its not urine as it doesnt smell at all if anything smells a bit sweet, but worried its sweat or something and i'm worrying for no reason lol. Thanks

xxxxxxx

I have no idea what that is hun, i know im getting more CM at the moment but its not like watery or anything... i would get it checked out asap, did your midwife give you a number for maternity liason for if u cant get hold of her? Call maternity again or something and explain your worried and cant get hold of midwife!!

im sure it will be ok but get checked out anyway

xx

Well i'm a numpty and have never had midwifes personal number keep forgetting to ask when i see her which is hardly ever, i have the comunity midwife number but thats the one with the answer machine is this the number your thinking for them? I've left a message there with the comunity midwife office asking someone to ring me back but got a feeling i'll be waiting and waiting and won't get anywhere.
Yeah i know its not urine but could be discharge as i know this can change states, but its watery and clear when i've looked. hmmmmm, would be a saturday i do something about it wudnt it and now i'm worried and no one is there lol xxxx

I'd get yourself to A+E. By law they cant turn you away so they are obliged to assess you at the very least. They will at the very least put you in contact with the right part of the hospital.

I'm in Worcestershire, which hospital are you going to, I have a few numbers.

i had the same at 19 weeks +3 days i got taken to delivery suite , was kept there for about 4 hours i had an internal exam and got told it was discharge, i would certainly get up the hospital hun. xx hope all's well! x

no i was given a number for midwife liason who are always there if i cant get hold of my midwife direct. if you dont have any luck go to A&E like spelbound said, get checked out asap! xx hope everything is ok, let us know how u get on xx

Thanks everyone, i'm so shocked at how efficient they've been i've got an appointment at 1.15 at my midwife clinic, so fingers crossed for us, i know i'll feel bad if i'm time wasting but at the same time i'll be so relieved to know it is just something like discharge, so hopefully will get some answers and not come back just as baffled lol. Does anyone know what test they do, got a feeling i'm gna be POKED and instrumentally inserted, avoided it so far typical ah well anything for bubba, gna go and get showered now, my erm .... "flower" has got a date, better spruce her up a bit lol. ewwww. xxxx

Thanks anyway VicLI i will keep that in mind for another time you are a source of useful numbers lol. My hospital is kidderminster for the maternity ward, and then after 20 weeks its going to be all worcester royal as thats were i'm am going to be delivered, well not me but baby lol. xxxx

I've been to Kidderminster for my scans and my midwife is from Kidderminster but I'm going to Worcester too. Good luck with your appointment, I hope everything turns out ok. When my waters went they did a swab test, not sure they will do this but I would think they'd do an internal exam to see how your cervix and membranes are.

Best of luck hun, update us won't you? :hugs:

Best of luck ,Glad u managed to get help quickly :) .
Its probably extra discharge , But in no way must you feel like your time wasting if it happened to be amniotic fluid , The midwifes will praise you for getting help quickly .
Hope u come back with great news and feeling better .
They will probably measure your fluid by ultrasound hun . xxxxx .

Good luck Katie!

I'm sure it will all be just fine. We get so much discharge it's probably that, but you'll feel so much better to hear that from them, then you can relax.

Let us know how it goes

xx

Hope your appointments going well hun and they can put your mind at rest.:hugs:

Oh hun I hope all is OK You are not wasting anybodys time at all - no matter what it turns out to be. Keep us updated :hugs:

Right just got back thanks everyone for your kind posts, what a palava...
Went to primary care they said 2 hour wait and it was FULL of sick ppl :( so as it was just an out of hours GP surgery i said is there any point and didn't want to be near ill people if they weren't specialists in pregnancy.
They said wouldn't be much they could do and to go to a&e in the neighbouring hospital. which is the one i rang in the 1st place but they wouldnt see me cos i'm not 20 weeks yet grrrr.... anyway
Ended up having an internal exam by a nice young man gyneacologist, they took swabs then came back and said all is well good news, the cervix is closed tight so waters havent broken but there is a lot of discharge around there which is explaining the leaking and wetness, he said the discharge is what you describe as being clear and watery so my discharge has changed states as before it was thick and white. SOOOOOOOO RELIEVED! He said if there was amniotic fluid this would mean my waters had broke and effectively this would mean i'd misscaried as 19 weeks is far too early :( :( so thank god!!!!!! I didn't want to waste their time but i'm so glad it isnt that, and i'm glad it wasnt that i was peeing and didn't realise. lol
Cos its monday they didnt have the facilities to scan me, reeeally was hoping for a scan to see bub so they've written on my notes to check the lycal?? matter at my 20 week scan in a week, which will show level of amniotics just to be doubley sure.
Baby hid the whole time normally s/he is sticking out and moving around but was stone still the whole time even the doppler they used had trouble finding bub, now since being home its sticking out massively on the usual right side, shy baby lol.
Sooooooooooooooooo HAPPY, gna relax now apparently my blood pressure was through the roof compared to normal readings cos i was so anxious.
No more scares please baba, and now i know that its just discharge its all good :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) xxxxxxxxxxxxx
