Leaky Latch?

the last few days it seems maddox has gotten lazy with keeping suction when feeding, and so with every suck he takes some leaks out his mouth and we get a milk bath and end up soaked,

ive tried feeding in different postions, and it seems like the only thing i can do is detatch him, and re-latch him and were ok for a few sucks then he's back to half suction and us both gettin wet.

he doesnt seem to be full as he re-latches eagerly ??

so whats going on?

I probably can't help much except to say it only happens to me when my breast is very full, like after a night where she only got up once and fed off one boob. (like hhis morning) If that's the case for you I think all you can do is wait it out till he eats enough or pump a bit before hand.

This still happens to me sometimes but Evie has been shifting her latch slightly due to teething.

In the early days I used to wrap a muslin around me to catch any milk dripping down from Evie lol

It does take a while for babies to perfect their latch so to speak so just keep going your doing fab

I get it too hun but I've been assured its just cuz my LO can't swallow the milk I give out quick enough.x
