Lets have our BFPs by Christmas Thread!

so my results came in Negative for pregnancy, thyroids and anemia..there is no reason as to why my cycles were missed..now i have to go on birth control to start them up again...

 to Kiki0522 welcome!!!

@vrain- i'm soooo sorry love they all came back negative. :( But why do you have to go back on bc? i don't get THAT part. I just heard a recent study that bc really hurts your chances for conceiving- and sometimes it makes it hard to get a baby for like at LEAST a year after? And my dr. mentioned this to me as well.

Vrain, I have to agree with Dare. I don't know why they would have you go back on bc. I understand why they said that because bc usually helps regulate things but it can also make it worse coming off it. I was on the depo shot for 3 years, had my last shot in April, it wore off in July and I had crazy dysfunctional bleeding on and off until late September. They gave me the option of going back on bc to help regulate things because the bleeding was so awful and annoying and I was anemic but they suggested to try to wait it out because it's better if my body regulates things on its own instead of throwing more hormones into it. Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents! :) Fx'd for you to get your cycles back to normal and supporting you with whatever you choose to do!

(can you tell i'm excited?!)

That is great Dare!! I remember my first time getting a positive on an OPK. I was practically jumping up and down. DH said what in the world are you going to do when you get a positive on a pregnancy test? hahaha! He has yet to find out but oh boy he's in for it! :D

Good Luck!! Lots of :dust:

Haha same thing with my DH! I sent him a picture to his phone of the opk and he hurried home from work, haha! :D

We have been trying since September but REALLY trying since just last month charting temps and using opks. So this is technically our 2nd cycle. I am really hoping to have a bfp by my birthday on dec. 17th! :)

Fx'd for us both!! This will be our cycle!! :dust:

If I started bleeding today should I count this as cd 1 or start cd 1 tomorrow? I just bled lightly today. I think I should start cd 1 tomorrow...lol sometimes this stuff confuses me but I am new to it all.

I am new at this too so please someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think you count cd 1 as the day when you first have full flow. If you have what you consider is definitely AF before like early evening count it as cd 1. If it's just spotting until the next day, or you get full flow late that night, I would say count the next day as cd 1. But i'm not completely positive.

Okay I'm going to just count today as CD1. lol My last pregnancy was more of a NTNP kinda thing...we were just like if it happens, it happens and we'd be happy. I talked to DH last night & he agreed to actually start TRYING now. Hopefully he won't be too tired from working all the time & will carry through with it..lol! I conceived last time on January 13th, wouldn't that be so weird if it happened around the same time this time & had around the same due date I would have had? My due date was between Oct. 8 - 21st...they kept changing it.

I wanted to make a ticker thing but ain't sure yet how long my cycle is going to be after this last one so I figured I'd make one like this instead for right now. It doesn't look bad does it? :(

Yay for the DH wanting to really try! It is hard because my DH is tired too a lot of the time from working but he's very good about it. I just tell him to rest up when it's getting close to O! :laugh2: I'm sure yours will stick with it! It's so nice to have the support from them! That would be so funny if it was around the same time! I believe in signs and everything happens for a reason. Fx'd for you!
Since your cycle is hard to pinpoint, have you tried opks? They are great!

No it doesn't look bad at all! I love her name. So beautiful. Love to your angel! xo. :hugs:

@ kiki- i thought your just married thing was you had been ttc for---- ha! Oh well! I thought that all of this would be so simple and the day i wanted to start trying bam we'd have that baby but holy crap was i stupid! I mean, 5 cycles isn't that bad, but still! I started with nothing and now i have a whole arsenal of weapons to try to make a baby! lol.

@ amy- cd 1 is the first day you have to wear a tampon- first day of full red flow :)

Wow i added that way after the question was answered! wow! go me! haha.

My friend had her first baby in october, and 9 years later had her second 5 days earlier in october! She had been trying for a year and got pg around the same time as the other! lol.

She is full of october babies. I had wanted to have a nice early spring baby- but maybe that just wasn't my time! I swear as the months go on, i'm having more and more ewcm which i DIDN'T have as much my first few cycles trying, i'm wondering if i'm supposed to conceive this cycle for real, i've never had anything as much as this cycle!

Hoping!!!!

Amy so glad that he's with you on this one, and so sorry for your loss. :( But i'm glad that you are trying for real and im sure it won't be too hard this time! Fx'd to you!!!!

:dust: to us all!

Nope never tried opks. If I can't sort out my cycle soon then I might give it a shot, lol! Or talk to my endocrinologist about things, not sure if he could be too helpful though. & Thank you about her name, her big sisters name is Madison Faith (my step daughter, she's 3 1/2) :) So we wanted something that kinda went together.

Thanks! I sure hope it won't be too hard this time. Some doctors say you are more fertile after birth but with it being 6 months later, no clue if that still counts. & yeah I'ma count today as CD1 & hoping to test around the 18th, if I ovulate this cycle cause I really don't think I did last cycle. I usually get sharp ovulation pains and lots of CM when I ovulate so hopefully that happens this cycle too! :) :dust::dust::dust:

I had a feeling that's what you looked at when I saw your ticker for how long you have been ttc. :) 5 cycles seems like a lot to me! I admire you and the other ladies trying for so long and even longer. Since this is my 2nd cycle, I feel bad getting down after only the first not succeeding when others such as yourself have been trying for longer. But it feels good to be ready to do it again! :D Bfp's for us this time around!!!

:dust:

@ kiki- you know i think the first 3 cycles were the hardest so far. Last cycle i got very down and wanted to quit but the waiting time for those first 2 wws were awful. the last one flew by. 5 cycles are nothing compared to some of the waiting time. Some of these ladies have been trying 2 + years to get that bfp.

I read most normal couples it takes like 6 months to conceive because there is only a 25% chance each month for healthy normal couples! 25%! what the crap!

In the end, it doesn't matter HOW long you've been trying for, even in the beginning, those damn bfns are horrible! They just get worse and worse as they go. But, i don't think any ladies would be mad at us for feeling down as well. They've all been here, they know what it's like.
