Light bleeding/period at 8 weeks PP

I am almost 9 weeks pp, exclusively breastfeeding, and at around 7 weeks I started having a light bleeding that I was told by a nurse it could be my first period. I have been having light bleeding on and off ever since and i am not sure this is normal, so I am just wondering whether other moms out there have been experiencing the same/similar thing. My initial posptpartum bleeding lasted for few weeks and this bleeding that I have now is really light, I do not need to use more than a light sanitary pad/day. I plan to call my OB/Gyn next week just to be on the safe side but any insight on this matter is highly appreciated. Thanks.
