Sorry if TMI... Just went to the loo and noticed light brown coloured discharge on tissue, wiped quite a few times and kept getting it... Should I be worried? Do I need to see a doctor or is it normal?? Argh!?

I have had it and thankfully it turned out to be fine. I would get it checked out though just in case. Brown suggests blood in your discharge but brown blood is old blood so not a cause for alarm. If it continues you may need an early scan. But loads and loads of people get this and most of the time, it's nothing to worry about.

I had it at around 6 weeks, lasted a few days, dr said it can be normal but gave me a scan to check, and there was my lil bean all fine. She said it could be due to implantation bleeding and the bloods taken a while to come out. That being said ive had brown discharge for about a day once a week. Dr still says its fine, but to see her again if i have cramps along with it, or red blood. So chances are its absolutely normal. But get it checked so you can have peace of mind :)

I have pretty much had the same as this too. I had spotting at 6 weeks and went to ER for a scan which showed everything was fine, there was blood in my uterus but nothing to worry about. I also had some more brown spotting last week at 8 weeks which would have been about period time. Everyone I have spoken to says it is pretty normal and just to keep an eye on things if it gets worse or red to call the obs.

While it is quite scary and its hard not to freak out, you just have to be alert but not alarmed!

Good luck! :flower:

It can be normal but I'd go ahead and get checked to reassure yourself if nothing else

I've been having brownish discharge on and off for over a week now. My cervix is closed and the babies both look good, however one does have a small subchronic hematoma around the sac which we think is the cause of the discharge.

Are you Rh negative? If you are they may want to go ahead and give you the rhogam shot

Thanks for the advice ladies... I think I will see if it carries on tomorrow and then think about going to the doc. I don't actually know my blood type but I know that my sister is negative, if I am too is that a problem at this stage?
