List of things we need to buy?

DH and I are both first time parents - and I've searched high and low and all over the internet for a 'need to buy' checklist so that we know how much the neccessities are going to cost us (and can start passing on hints to family members)

does anyone know where I could find one?

Baby magazines always seem to have them and i think the back of the mothercare catalogue has one too which you can tick of the items as you go along, just adjust the lists to what you require though as they tend to put down every thing you might ever possibly need!

The current Mothercare Autum/Winter catalogue has a list which you will find very useful

if you go to mothercare and get their free catalogue in the shop, there is an absolutely BRILLIANT checklist in the back of it- it even has an 'optional' section on there too!!
