He was okay sleeping in his crib until a few days ago when I let him sleep beside me in my bed. (I fell asleep while nursing him by accident and he slept beside me all night!) Now whenever I put him down in his crib he only sleeps for a short while and wakes up crying, it happens every time! I even stayed up until 5am one night trying to get him to sleep. Eventually I gave up and laid him down beside me and he finally stayed asleep. So, these past few nights he's been sleeping in my bed. OH moved into a different room because of this. What do I do??

Katie hated her crib and i made the mistake of letting her sleep in her bouncer even at nite.

If i was you i would probably try him in his cot.

He mite not like the confined space.

Or give him a blanket with your smell on, he mite just miss his Mummy.

our l/o doesnt like his either, we have a carry cot that came with r pram. he doesnt mind that so he sleeps in the carrycot which is big enough to go in his moses basket if u get me
maybe try putting maybe an item of ur clothing with your smell on it in his crib with him so he feels close to you?

If you have a safe floor area try getting him used to sleeping there. Maybe even with you next to him. If he wakes up crying then maybe try lying next to him till he drifts off again? My LO is now sleeping in her cot but I hear her waking in the night and sucking away on her dummy (through the monitor) a few times.

But on a bed (we have firm beds!) or on a quilted floor she sleeps SOOOO much better.:shrug:

I keep trying to think of ways to make her cot more to her liking but I don't know how.

4 months is sleep regression time by the way and it can be a tough one. :flower::hugs:
