hi am new to this site, and really could do with some advise, sanity and maybe a slap to sort me out .....
Hubby and i have been ttc for 5 years we have had to miscarriages 2009 and 2010, we were finally refered to the fertility specialist on the 22nd Jan, a few weeks later i had a hysterosalpingogram which was all fine, then a few days later an ultra sound where the radiologist said that i had a polysistic ovary..... 2 weeks later i get a BFP....

I am so scared every twinge, every feeling and i am freaking out.....

i am just trying to be positive but really struggling to be happy i dont think i can be until after i have had a scan at 12 weeks and all is good....

Today i am getting like a fluttering feeling under my belly button its not painful but wierd, is this normal?

also has anyone got any sucess stories of concieving naturally with pcos?

thank you, sorry for my long rant....

HI, I know how you feel I have a similar story to yours in that we have lost two before now. I don´t have pcos but I know women do go full term with it. My firend was told by her DR that her pregnancy might cure her pcos, so fingers crossed.
I analyze everything, every pain is bad news and today when i feel better than i have for days I´ve managed to convince myself that is bad news too. If I don´t feel rubbish does that mean it has stopped growing. I guess we will have to live with it until we get to 12 weeks, it can´t come soon enough! Good luck and feel free to rant, it is nice to know I´m not alone!:hugs:

Thank you, it's really good to know am not alone too, how many weeks are you?

The early weeks of pregnancy are so stressful when you have lost pregnancies. As long as you are not having really painful cramps or bleeding you probably have nothing to worry about. Our bodies go through so may weird things, stretching and pulling and twinges and even flutters! I am sure your little one is just snuggling in and making him/herself at home!

This is my only pregnancy to have gone past 6 weeks and between there and 12 weeks every little twinge freaked me out. When is your 12 weeks scan?

Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy - and remember each week that passes your chances of it being ok get better and better. Think positive, rest up, keep hydrated and try to relax.

Thank you Croydongirl, I haven't been to my doctor yet as the last time I got pregnant they told me not to till I was 8 weeks (thankfully the snotty old doctor has retired now) but I have an appointment with fertility specialist on the 27th so I am hoping that he may be able to do an early scan out as his office is half a meter from the EPU.

Congratulations on your pregnancy x

Looopy, I´m seven weeks today and really freaking out now. All the symptoms just stopped on Saturday and I can´t get anyone to do a scan for me for love or money! I feel so scared I have lost it as the other two died by seven weeks and the last one I didn´t know until 11 weeks that it wasn´t viable. I can´t sleep and can´t concentrate and feel like I´m really going nuts. Lets just hope that we can stay sane until it is all ok. Good luck getting a scan, let me know how you get on.

Hi Natsby, how are you? symptons to come & go from what i gather, what has your doctor said?
I know with my first miscarriage it took me ages to get a scan & i had started bleeding, i had rang the doctors, midwife with no sucess I ended up ringing the hospital directly in tears and they finally listened, and booked me in the next day....
on the second one, when i started bleeding i just went straight to a&e and they set things in motion quite quickly......so i understand your worry ...i would ring & keep ringing until someone listens!!!!

Hi Mich, I am a bit calmer now, although I still haven´t had a scan. The hospital said no and even my private Dr is booked until 4th April. The health system here is in a mess. But yesterday I felt the stretching pains and a bit sick so I am just trying to keep quiet and positive and wait. I´m going to the UK tomorrow for a few days to see family so that should keep me busy. I will try to see the midwife today if I can but she is always overbooked. I hope your feeling less overwhelmed by it all now. Take care of yourself.

Hi Nats

Thank you for your message, for some reason i cant seem to figure out how to reply lol

glad your scan went well, hope all is well

I went to the hospital last week, i have a scan on Wednesday, so fingers crossed, its still not sank in yet, but we seemed to be more prepared for bad news than good news!!! The doctor says that we shouldnt worry if were not in pain or bleeding not to panic, easier said than done!!!

Good luck with your scan, I was like that too, sure it would be bad news, I cried when she said it was all looking good, it was such a relief. Let me know how you get on, I´m sure you will be fine and then you can relax a bit and enjoy it, (ha ha cramps, tiredness, wind and constipation not much to enjoy but still.)

:hugs:Hey how did the scan go?? I have my fingers crossed for you.

Hi well it went well :) everything is as it should be !! I can't believe it !! Feel so relieved !! x x

:happydance::happydance:Fantastic!! So pleased for you. Ok now you can relax and start to think about your baby as a reality. Something I found hard before the last scan. Mind you I get more nervous coming up to each scan so by Tuesday this week I will be a wreck hopefully after the scan Wednesday I´ll be ok again.
Yay for Michs beany bump!!

Thank you both, still stressing but getting better can't wait to get to the 12 week scan, then I know we can relax more.
Natsby how did your scan go?

Good thanks! Yeah I saw and heard the HB and we could make out the head and hands and feet. OH thought he could tell what sex it was but the obs told him not to be silly so I guess it was the umbilical cord. OH was quiet emotional, I think his reaction surprised him! I am just so pleased it all looks ok. I had a really busy week teaching so I haven´t been on b&b, I´m checking up on everyone now. Not long to go now till 12 weeks, Yay!!
