So I am now under the care of a RE and when I had tons of blood drawn one thing they told me was that my AMH was super low at .79 and the nurse said that this is suggestive of decreased ovarian reserve. From everything I have read this is not good like not good at all and more than likely I will not have a successful pregnancy without donor eggs. I am devastated! How can this be? I just turned 29?!

What I am currently taking:

400 mg per day coq10
50, 000 iu vitamin d3 once a week
Prenatal vitamin
Dr wants me to take dhea but I am concerned with what I have read.

Anyone experienced this?

I also found out this week I have low amh. I did get pregnant 3 years ago and had my dd and again one year ago but that ended in mmc. I only have one ovary and am 34 so my amh is bery low for my age but probably linked to only having one ovary.

I have been recommended by my fertility consultant to have ivf asap so that's what I am doing. I just need to hope that I produce enough good quality eggs and if I do, they've said I have a good chance but they won't know until they start me on the drugs to stimulate eggs.

Good luck. I know it's a huge shock and devastating but don't give up. My sil is 42 with low egg reserve and bad quality eggs and she just had her rainbow baby after 5 failed ivfs so it can happen x

I am in the UK and have an amh of 8.3 which puts me in at the bottom of low fertility (think its only about 1 on US scale). My specialist doesnt think its anything to panic about and has prescribed me clomid for six months before we do more tests. The clomid has made me ovulate every month with high progesterone readings so its certainly working (although i am not pregnant yet). Try not to worry, just follow any advice you are given xx

Mrs w, we seem very similar, same age, i have a daughter nearly 3 and had a mc last year at 8 weeks. Not been pregnant since and hoping and praying the clomid works xx

Thank you for your responses I have been so sad and feeling so let down. There is no way I can afford ivf so it may be the end of the road we will se what my 21 day progesterone comes back at monday.

Don't give up baby love, there is lots out there on the Internet so read up, you might be lucky naturally! You only need one egg to get pregnant!

Angel mum we do sounds similar! My amh is 3!! My clinic class 7-15 as normal but mine is obviously low. But they have had ladies with amh under 1 get pregnant because as I say you only need 1 egg! Good luck, I hope the Clomid works for you. I ovulate anyway so that wouldn't help me.

X

My AMH is only .05 and I am going forward with IUI. I had my CD11 ultrasound today and had one 18mm follie and one 11mm follie, so even with that super low number, I still got a good sized egg. All is not lost, good luck!

Hi, Don't be concerned about the DHEA, I think that is the thing that got me my BFP. I had a low AMH of 2.7 pmol/l (0.4 ng) which was low for my age 38. 1 1/2 years later we tried IVF but only got 5 eggs, and only 2 fertilized normally, but didn't get past 6 cells, so I didn't get to transfer any. My doc said my only hope would be to try to improve the egg quality with DHEA. I was put on DHEA for 2 months and on the 3rd month did a 2nd cycle, Icsi this time, Same protocol but this time we only got 4 eggs, 4 fertilized, they all progressed further than last time and one was a grade A blast which I am now currently 21 weeks pregnant with. I have no doubt that it was the DHEA. Good Luck

I cant even believe I am posting this but I got a bfp this morning. Scared beyond belief. Hope its sticky
