Hello

My hospital have informed me that I have low iron levels in my blood and that my DR will need to prescribe iron tablets. I don't think I need to worry about this but could this be why I am so cold ??

Thank you x:hugs:

Hi. Not sure about being cold I'm afraid but anaemia causes tiredness so if you have been feeling that they will help. Did they tell you they can cause constipation and black stools? Not sure if all do but many do. There are other alternatives such as what I am taking. A natural iron supplement called Spatone. It is great! It's in liquid form and good to take in orange juice as vitC aids the absorption of iron and it you can barely taste it.

I also swear by spatone! My HB has improved from 10.6 to 11.8 since I started using them. You can get them in tesco, wilkinsons, lloyds pharmacy.....they're on 3 for 2 at tesco at the moment ive just stocked up!

I cant take iron tablets they upset my stomach but these have no side effects and as long as you mix with pure orange juice you can't taste it. x

Ooh that's good to know that they are on offer. Apparently you can get it on prescription. I have my midwife tomorrow morning so going to ask her.
