Hi,

Could someone please put my mind as ease please? We are at the very beginning of this journey. I went to my gp's to make sure everything is ok and she has taken my bloods on day 1 of my cycle. The results of the FSH were 6.9 the LH 3.7 and this is the one that I'm more worried about is the oestradiol (eastrogen I think) was 86. After speaking to the dr's receptionist which wasn't very helpful, she told me that I was low in eastrogen! I am due to have my progesterone on day 21 and according to the receptionist I will have to have my FSH, LH and Oestradiol taken again between day 1 to day 5 of my next cycle! Does anyone know how my results read? It's all very well Dr's allowing their receptionists to give out results but it really doesn't help if there are any questions to be asked. I feel like time is of the essence because of my age and the fact that my hubby has to have a vasectomy reversal which in itself is such a gamble.

I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

Your FSH and LH look normal and you estrogen looks normal for day 1-3 of your cycle. Below is a refence range and yours look right for the Follicular phase.

****ESTRADIOL Reference Range
Follicular Phase: 11-212
Mid-Cycle: 18-480
Luteal Phase: < or = 247

Thank you so much for that. It will be the same here in the UK won't it? It's good to think they are normal!

All your levels seem fine to me. Your levels should be low at the beginning of your cycle. That's what they want if you are doing ivf.

not sure but didn't want to read and run! I just had my progesterone tested and am waiting results...this is for early pregnancy after a miscarriage so not sure too much about it! good luck!

I would think that the difference would be minimal at best..your levels look fine. I wouldnt worry about what the receptionist said..she should never give her opinion of something she knows nothing of. Every lab even withing the same city most likely has different ranges of what is considered normal however its only by a few numbers up or down. I wouldnt worry..:hugs:
