I know this doesn't sound promising, and my midwife agreed.
Last week at 4 weeks pregnant I started to spot pink/brown (Sunday).

The next day it got a little more intense (red, but light) I went for blood work. hgc of 126 and progesterone of 5. Midwife said to go back in 2 weeks to recheck levels. I already accepted it as a m/c and even told our parents that as well. Had light period for the remainder of the week (5 more days) and took a hpt, today (Sat) to see if my levels were gone- got a clear BFP.

Did everything not pass? Is there still hope? No cramping really, just light/medium period with some tiny clots- just like my regular period, just not as heavy. thoughts? Similar experiences?

It's hard to say. I've had 3 miscarriages and I don't want to sound discouraging, but I continued to get BFP for a couple weeks after I started bleeding. They did, however, get lighter as time went on, so if yours is dark it could be a good sign. I'm really wondering though why you have to wait 2 weeks...that would drive me insane. Good luck.

Thanks, yeah I am expecting the worst, but was surprised by the BFP (got darker as the days went on and still dark) thanks for your comment!

If a similar experience is whatbyou want, I'll tell you, but it is not my intention to scare you.

My first ectopic started out with low progesterone and bleeding. In fact I blead for over a month before I finally convinced them something was wrong. They checked me and found the pregnancy in my tube. People will tell you that ectopics are painful but I never felt a thing. It even burst while I was waiting for surgery and I didn't feel it. I'm not saying this is the case for you. You could have something else that can explain the bleeding like a sub chrionic hemmorage, that's nothing to worry about. I'm surprised they didn't want to take bloods sooner to see if your hcg is doubling (it won't in an ectpoic).

Thanks for sharing your experience. They initially wanted me to go in 2 days later to compare blood levels, but once I said I was bleeding, she said to forget it and wait the two weeks- I am assuming to make sure it was fully complete...

If it's darker then I would think your hcg is going up and not down, which, of course, is a great sign. And although bleeding isn't normal in pregnancy, it is common, especially early on. I don't think I'd give up all hope just yet. I had a major bleeding episode with my daughter during week 7 and it was accompanied by horrendous cramping and I, along with my OB, thought I was miscarrying, but she's now 16 months old. Wishing you all the best and hoping you have a little sticky bean in there.

Interesting! Thought it was game over for sure. I guess the low progesterone was the concern :/ Fingers crossed!! Thx :)

Wow that's harsh.

Maybe you'll beat the odds. If anyone knows bleeding can happen in pregnancy it should be her.

Hopefully when you go back all signs will point to good things. How far along are you now?

I was put on clomid this last cycle. When I went in to see how many eggs there were she told me none. One tiny one that wasn't going to make it. She did say that I could have already ovulated but that based on what she was seeing I hadn't. She said "stranger things have happened" and to take a test if I didn't get my period. If I did she'd call in a higher prescription for me since my body didn't respond to the medication, and that cycle I conceived. So hopefully you're a freak of nature and everything is alright.

I experienced the same, and the dark blood was normal early on. But It is really hard to tell. Are you taking progesterone? I had 3 miscarriages before, so I went on it early on. I also did baby (low dose) asprin to prevent blood clots.

I will be 5 weeks tomorrow, and I still "feel"pregnant. I had symptoms the whole tww and they continue. I actually called her back and asked if there was anything I could do and she said no. After researching I see things about creams/shots/suppositories/asprin etc. :/

You can get progesterone cream at any health foods store if that's something you'd want to do on your own since they won't prescribe anything to you. I'd ask a specialist there though if its safe for a pregnancy as I'm not sure.

I find it odd that they didn't put you on progesterone supplements incase that was the cause. I guess they wanted to wait and see what happened. My progesterone was 9 at 5 weeks with an HCG of 405 and they put me on supplements, no bleeding though. I'm 12w1d now. Fingers crossed for you hon.
