Hi ladies,
I took my daughter (almost 29 weeks old) for her monthly weigh in yesterday and I'm feeling concerned, despite reassurance from the HV and nurse at the clinic.
Last weigh in Maia weighed 19 Ib 14 and was 69cm long. Yesterday she weighed 20Ib 2 1/2 and measured 71cm long.
Although she has grown 2 cm longer her weight gain seems tiny. She is drinking between 20 and 24 oz milk feeds per day and has 3 meals of solids. She is more active than before and constantly tries to pull herself up on her feet.
The HV said her weight is still between the 91st and 98th centiles and is pleased with her eating so not to worry. She said that weight gain does slow down as babies get more active but I can't get it out of my head that there may be something wrong.
I guess I'm just looking for reassurance that everything is ok. I'm used to rapid growth and big weight gains and I've not worried about weight since she was a newborn (literally) and I was having problems BF x
