maca and ovulation

Hey all,just a quick question.this is my first month using maca and I was just wondering if anyone has heard of it delaying ovulation or making it come earlier? I normally get a pos opk on cd14 but not got it yet,my chart looks like i may have o'd on cd12 and missed my surge as don't start opking until cd12.of course o stil mite be on it's way but would love to get other peoples experiences.thank u xx

oh yeah i also drink a glass of gf juice a day,not sure if that makes a difference but thought id give u all the info lol xx

oh no,i was taking it to try an regulate my cycle and o.its been varying from 28-40 days since feb so was hoping it would help.im hoping it doesnt make them any longer xx

i have been taking maca since march and i can't think of a time that it has delayed ovulation. august is the only month i took a break from maca and i ovulated later than i ever have since i started charting.

ovulation days
march - CD16
april - CD17
may - CD16
june - CD17
july - CD18
august - CD20
september - don't know, didn't temp or opk

Oh I hope this doesn't happen. I've just started taking it and hope it doesn't mess anything up!

thanks honey i honestly think it will be fine. it could be your body just ovulating later than usual. that has happened to me before. of course, it could also be adjusting to the maca as well. i would give it a few more days and see if ovulation comes. honestly though, i haven't heard many times on the maca board about it delaying ovulation and there is quite a few of us that take it.

thats what i got scared of hun,i just went on the main maca thread on here but theres so many pages i couldnt read all of it but it looks like none of the women (including nevertogether) have had any probs delaying anything.candyapple19 took maca for 2 weeks and o'd after not o'in for some time,so it looks like its more pos than neg xx

thanks hun.saying i normally get a pos on cd14....i also get it on cd15 and 16 aswell so assumed i o'd at cd14,15.but last cycle i didnt actually o until opks went neg on cd17 so maybe my surge is just waiting a little bit this time lol xx

yeah thats what i was thinking, more good than bad and TBH thats the only thread i can find thats negative, but it's not going to work for everyone right.

I'm still going to give it a go next cycle if i dont get my sounds more positive than Soy xx

It takes a couple of months to really notice any profound effects of Maca...but it's fab...i can't think of any bad things to say about it actually. Increases libido, regulates cycle, increased energy and sense of 'feeling good'...prevents miscarriage.....nothing bad!

My other problem is where to get it from, wasn't too keen on buying it off the net, you never really know what your getting but looks like i'm going to have too

hey hun,i know what u mean but unfortunately i went to holland and barrett as thats the only place i normally trust and they only sell it as "horny goat weed" which has other stuff mixed in with it so the only place i by it from now is one specific seller on ebay and it comes under "swanson maca" its got nothing added and is factory sealed,so i do hope its ok,so far feeling alot better from it xx
