Hi there

Quick question. We've bought a mamas and papas Hayworth cot bet and a mothercare Luxury pocket spring matress. The mattress is 15cm deep.

We have just put together the cot and noticed a sign on the cot base which says "maximum mattress thickness 10cm".

Does anyone know why this would be? Is this a ploy to ensure you buy a mamas and papas mattress also?

Just can't see any other reason.

I think it somthing to do with the height left between the mattress and the top of the cot bars.
I'm presuming it ul be ok as long as your careful when LO starts sitting and pulling them selves up you lower it quickly? Xx

Weather it will be more of an issue when u get to the bottom height n LO is old enough to climb but then I suppose you could just turn it into a cotbed sooner? Sophie was in a bed at 15months x

I have that one and bought a mattress that was recommended by m&p as it said you had to buy a size 4 (if I remember rightly!!) so just went with that! Luckily I got the mattress half price!!
