Well just over 6 weeks to go and still no baby boy names (though we have a couple if it's a girl, which I don't think it is). The main problem is that OH likes no names for a boy, despite me giving him a list of 30 and a 40,001 baby names book to go through. I've posted a couple of polls on here before including some of my favourites (Xander, Fraser, Theo, Stanley etc). Ideally I want a name which isn't too common, and in an ideal world a name which can be shortened to a nickname (as I hate the fact that I can't do this with my name).
So last night I'm watching Top Gun (don't laugh)
and think, hmm, Maverick is a good name. Looked it up on the Office of National Statistics website and only 9 people in the UK registered this name in 2008 (2009 stats not yet released) so not at all common (I do this every time I think of a name to check it's not too high on the list). So what do you all think?
