May be in early labor??

So I had my routine weekly Dr appointment. Which is good because i woke up with random stomach cramping. It doesnt feel like contractions (what i would think they feel like this being my first). But more like period cramping up higher. I told my dr she checked me im only 2cm dialiated. My blood pressure a tad high. We did a quick ultrasound and she said baby is big. Almost 8lbs already. So basically she thinks im in early labor, and I may go into real labor the next few days. She scheduled another Ultrasound on Wednesday if nothing happens by then to check baby size and check my blood pressure. If baby is as big as she thinks I may be scheduled for an induction next week. So basically she sent me home with sleeping pills and told me to head to hospital if pain worse. It all sounds so complicated i dont know how I should feel!!

Oh wow, that's great! Maybe it will be happening soon! I hope it happens on its own and you don't have to be induced! Anyhow, sounds like she would induce you next week so either way it's coming quickly. Yeay for you! Please keep me updated hooray!

It sounds like it could be the start of something. For me, early labour felt like mild period cramps but I can't remember where I felt it exactly (I was too much in shock that it was actually happening to remember now!).

But don't stress about size. 8 lbs is NOT that big considering you're already term. 10 lbs is big. But 8 lbs definitely is not at nearly 39 weeks and I wouldn't let them scare you into inducing for that reason alone. And estimating size at this point is pretty inaccurate. Hopefully it is something though. Go relax and rest and see what happens. Good luck!

I just don't know what to look for. These cramps feel like period cramping with a mix of gas lol was moving to my back but I laid down and back feels better.

Good luck and hope this is it!! After my water broke, for those first few hours all I had was what felt like period cramps. They got progressively worse, but it took a while. So maybe this is the start!

Oh,hope things start up again and progress for you!
I have done a 180 today for some reason and I do not want baby out ( ha I'm crazy) I just have such a nice routine right now, and I think it's just hitting me having a newborn and my toddler. It's gonna be hectic. My first I was gung ho get it out, but you can have all your focus in just ONE baby, and it was easy for me. But now I'm remembering the work of a newborn and my busy toddler and now I'm hoping I can get as many " normal" ( routine) days in as possible.
I think I have lost my mind saying this... Until this morning I wanted this sucker OUT.
So I hope yours comes soon so I can hear all about her!
