So after nearly 5 months the witch finally showed :( but in the last few weeks iv had bloods done and was told my testosterone and adresterone (or something) levels were high so went for an ultrasound, both pelvic and transvaginal.... the tech said he couldnt see any large masses and he could only see my ovaries through the pelvis U/S and with the transvaginal all he could see is that I have a very gassy tummy :s??? Still waiting to hear from my doc with the exact result of it all but I was just wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing or knows anything about this whole situation that could give me some insight as to what the hell is going on???? Anything at all would be helpful right now please and thank you x

Hi there! I was told I have PCOS a few weeks ago. we have our first fertility specialist appointment in 2 days! I haven't had AF in almost 10 weeks, or 2 and a half months.

I had the ultrasound and bloodtests. I think I had higher Androgen levels, and lack of AF and lack of ovulation. The ultrasound lady didn't say much to me, except we will see what the blood tests say...

as for what's going on, I'm not sure at the moment. :( I eat healthy, exercise etc, but looks like I have PCOS. my mom, aunties, and grandmother had it so I'm guessing its hereditary. Now I have to figure out how to work around it to make baby #1!

Good luck and let me know if you wanna talk to another PCOS newbie! :hugs:

I had irregular periods too after I got off the pill last year- one really long one in Cycle 2, otherwise just some light spotting around the time my period was due instead of a real period. I didn't have symptoms of PCOS, and I had a transvaginal u/s done which showed no cyst, but a Day 3 blood test showed that my testosterone and LH were high, so I was diagnosed with PCOS and put on Metformin. Since I've been taking it, my periods have been normal! That was about 4 months ago- I just had another Day 3 test this cycle and my hormone levels are all normal now. I'm waiting now to hopefully ovulate and a Day 21 test to see if I've ovulated.

Just wanted to let you know you can have PCOS even without the normal symptoms or cystic ovaries- and that Metformin seems to help!
