I just wondered if anyone else has experienced short stabbing pains all over the tummy? They are little sharp pains, I'm just worried.

I'm worried all the time :haha:

Hey, Our due dates are the same! :D

I've been having the same, but more so on my sides and lower tummy.
I rang my midwife and I explained I had been having these sharp shooting pains, cramping and tightening. She told me its just braxton hicks. Apparently my body is getting itself ready for when labour hits lol

Oh interesting, it's horrible first I thought perhaps I got a bug or food poisoning but don't feel sick just it's that sort of pain.

Yeah :( It could also be round ligament pains.
I get it walking, sitting or standing that I find I'm walking as if I'm constipated lol!

Hi both, I was going to post this very same question! I am 20 weeks and have had NO symptoms up till now, no sickness or anything, but these last 2 days have been feeling a little sick, and today my stomach is killing me, sharp pains all over, doesn't go away when I lie down! Is it a growth spurt or something???
Have my 20 week scan tomorrow so this s making me even more nervous about that!

I've been having this too. I hadn't thought of the Braxton Hicks though. My doc had mentioned the round ligament pains, so I was just going with that. Interesting we are all due the same time and having them right now :flower:

Hi Chartay, i have been looking online and there is a lot of mention of round ligament pain so maybe it's that.......damn uncomfortable though!

Yeah I hear it can get pretty intense during the 2nd trimester when everything is growing so quickly. Oh the things we endure O:)

I'd like to see DH be pregnant haha :winkwink:

Hi there! I asked my midwife about this at my appointment today and she suggested drinking more water. She said sometimes it can happen when you're even slightly dehydrated because the uterus is a soft muscle, which will contract even slightly when it doesn't have enough water.

Thanks everyone, as for my DH he just says to me when I say anything "it comes with the territory" :growlmad:
