Hi ladies. I need some advise regarding meals & milk feeds. Omar is drinking more milk those days & he went up from 3 milk feeds to 5 for the past 3 days. He pees alot while sleeping & as we are going to start potty training I guess we need to reduce his milk feeds or re-schedule them, but now I'm stuck.

He only eats 3 meals with no snacks & he takes 1 or 2 naps & he takes his milk feeds close to his naps & bedtime.

I want to change his eating & drinking routine but I don't know when I should offer him his milk. He always takes his milk feeds 2 hours after his solids. I want to offer him his milk as a drink not as a separate feed. Should I start offering him milk with his breakfast & dinner?

Any advise is appreciated

TIA :hugs:

Our daughter is 12 months and has been going to nursery three days per week since she was ten months. We follow the nursery routine when she's at home too and it's worked well in terms of her eating/drinking.
She has breakfast at 8:30am, lunch at 11:30am, milk (we offer 100ml of cow's milk but she often drinks less) at 2pm, snack (more like a meal) at 3:30pm, dinner at 6pm and then milk (breastfed, no idea how much she drinks) at 7pm. I do also still breastfeed her once or twice at night, which isn't ideal and I would like to stop. :dohh:
Hope this helps!

Right now we have the following:

BF at 6 am
Breakfast (oatmeal, yogurt, etc.) at 7 am
(if needed, a tiny snack around 9.30 am)
Lunch at 11.30
Afternoon snack (fruity meal, quite big) at 3 pm
Bottle of formula or toddler milk (210 ml) at 5.30 pm, followed maybe by a small snack of cheese or something we have for dinner
BF at 7 pm

I plan on dropping the BFing in 1-2 months and adjust the milk intake accordingly.

ruby has 7oz at 7am
breakfast at 9am of oats or porridge
snack of oat cake or fruit at 11am
1am lunch
3pm 6 oz milk
5.30 dinner
milk at 7 then bed

George was breastfed.

At about a year he dropped his morning feed so he had

8am - breakfast
10am - small snack (I think at nursery 2 days a week they occassionally offered milk at this time)
12:30pm - lunch
3pm - sometimes a small snack
5pm - dinner
6:45pm - supper
7:30pm - breastfeed.

About 3-4 weeks ago he started to refuse his bedtime breast feed so after a few weeks of this I started to offer milk mid afternoon & with breakfast and dinner. He takes about 50ml a day.

At 12 months Ruby had...

7am - 7oz
Midday - lunch
2.30pm - ish - small snack (sugar free oat biscuit, raisins etc)
5pm - dinner
6.45pm ish - 7oz and bed

Earl currently has (although this does change if he's ill/growing still and he'll often have a bottle in the day as well as dinner etc)

6-7am - breakfast (porridge/weetabix with milk) and a drink of juice, sometimes a yoghurt or some fruit

9am - 2nd breakfast (has his nursery breakfast or some dry cereal/toast if we're at home) with juice/water

12noon - lunch

3ish - snack (fruit, biscuits, leftovers, who knows lol) with a drink of milk

5.30pm - tea (whatever we're having followed by a milk/fruit pudding

7pm bed - 7oz bottle of formula

11pm - night bottle 7oz

Overnight- sometimes have a 5oz bottle of cows milk but this is getting more rare nowadays.

Both the overnight bottles will be going (fingers crossed) in the new year once we're into our new house.

For Christian, his schedule at home is similar to what he has at daycare (or we try to keep it somewhat regular).

6:30-7 am: oatmeal, milk and maybe a little toast
9 am: snack (usually some fruit)
12: lunch (with milk)
3:30-4pm: snack (yogurt or something else)
6:30-6:45pm: suppertime (with milk)

Thanks ladies. Wow, it really varies from one LO to another. & I thought it gets simpler when they grow up :haha:

Lola just has a bottle of milk before bed (8oz) x
