Measuring smaller and low heart rate @36 weeks :(

Had my app today and now worry...
Everything was always normal and I had low risk pregnancy, but today by mump measured 35 weeks instead of 36 and baby heart rate was 112...they did ultrasound to double check and it was beating OK and baby was moving...so doctor was not concerned, but I am now...
I am ok with measuring small, but heart rate...every time now when my bubs wont move for longer than an hour I will be panicking and using my doppler to check if he is ok..I had some reduced movements last weekend, but he got back to normal on Monday..

Any similar experience?

I had a similar thing happen. I had a growth scan because my bump is consistently measuring small. On the scan, they found that my baby is normally sized but his heart rate was 111. They didn't say ANYTHING about the heart rate to me besides "Oh look he's in a chill mood."

Well of course I went home and freaked out about his low heart rate. But he WAS in a chill mood because every time since then that it's been checked (7-8 times), the heart rate is up around 150-160.

It IS possible for babies to just be relaxed and have their heart rates dip. Just like when my doctor was poking and prodding my baby, his heart rate jumped to 175.

Does your doppler do heart rate? Are you able to count and calculate it yourself?

thanks hun, probably he was chilling out. On the monitor they even did not turn the volume, but just looked at the heart for a min. And is was very young doctor who did it with the doppler and it took her ages to find it, so might be she found my hear rate and I was stressed out at that point!
I did use my doppled this evening and counted (nr of beats per 10 sec x 6 and then per 30 sec x2) and it was in range of 150-160, so he should be fine

I've used doppler at home this evening and heart rate is back to normal 150-160, so probably baby was chilling out or that young doctor found my anxious hear rate instead

It is normal for babies heart rate to fluctuate that much. I had two episodes of preterm contractions that I had to be monitored for and my little guy's heart rate fluctuated between 110 and 180 BPM on the monitor. Now I don't think that it is normal for the heartrate to stay that low for long periods of time or to dip that low a bunch of time. Mine had several episodes where his HR dipped below 100 which concerned the nurse, so I had to have a biophysical profile too, but he passed that with an 8/8.
