Medical management of miscarriage, bleeding stopped but started again?

Hi ladies, just a little over three weeks ago we had a Scan and found out we were heading for a miscarriage, scan showed very small sac surrounded by blood.

We decided for medical management as I couldn't wait for it naturally. We went into hospital and had the medication and a short while later I passed the sac and was allowed home, I bled for a week and then stopped. I had a week and two days of no bleeding and then on Monday i started bleeding again, it is bright red and I'd say similar to a period. I would of thought would be too early to be my period and doesn't seem to be stopping any time soon. Is it common for bleeding to stop then start again?

I'm sorry for your loss.

With my first miscarriage, they thought that I passed everything and sent me home. I bled for quite a long time, and it turns out I had retained tissue. :/ So it's possible that has happened. But it's also possible that it actually is your period. After my losses, my cycles were always a little different for the first few months.
