Hi everyone :flower:

Sorry to burden you all with my troubles as I'm sure you all have worries of your own but I'm having a total meltdown :nope:

I'm 7w4d pg after losing our baby girl at 15 weeks in June. I've already had 2 early scans - the last one was on Friday where we saw the heartbeat and all looked well. I've been feeling quite positive until now.

When I m/c I lost my fluid at 13 wks when I was sleeping and I'm petrified its going to happen again. I've had a bit of discharge the past week and I feel kind of 'wet' down below (like I need to wipe) but there's been nothing actually going onto my underwear until this morning when I woke up and there was a small wet patch on my pants - about the size of a 1p piece. So now I've convinced myself that my fluid must be leaking

I've also been feeling very sick since I found out and today i don't seem to feel as bad - I still feel a bit sick but not nearly as bad as yesterday.

The early pregnancy unit are being really great about everything and I phoned them today to tell them my worries. They obviously can't guarantee nothing is wrong and I know I can just go in for another scan if I need to. The thing is, I don't want to keep going for scans every time I feel a bit worried about something (I may as well live there if I do that!!)

Can anyone give me any advice? Is there enough fluid in there at this early stage for it to leak out?? And has anyone had the same experience with the sickness being different day by day??

Sorry for the long rant - I just feel really alone and lost. I can't bare the thought of losing another baby.

Thanks xxx :hugs:

are you sure it's fluid and not just cervical mucus? I'm paranoid myself, given an m/c two years ago at 7-8 wks and now, at 17wks on Thursday, still wipe and look to make sure all is okay...

as for the epu and another scan - can you see a midwife to look at the liquid (e.g. put on wax paper or something where somebody can look at it) and have someone give you a better opinion? Then, they have something to go on and advise you a little better.

best wishes

I think if you're worried hon, then go in and get that scan. So what if you feel silly if it's nothing? They'll understand, that due to what happened before you're a bit paranoid. I'm not sure at which stage the fluid builds up and it's probably just CM but best to put your own mind at ease.

It's so natural to be worried in your situation and you mustn't beat yourself up about it. If EPU are offering a scan - go and have one! You'll prabaly find it's just a scare and then you can relax for a couple of days til your next panic (I'm speaking from experience). Try to keep in your mind that it's more likely that everything will go right this time than worng again. Best of luck - hope it's just a bit of extra discharge - you get a lot of it during pg!

Thanks for the replies ladies :hugs:

I phoned the epu today and am going in tomorrow morning for a check. Its better than worrying myself sick until the next scan which isn't for another 2.5 weeks.

I'm not sure if it is just cervical mucus - hoping and praying it is!! I've put a small pad on today so if there's anything else I can maybe take it to show them.

I'll update tomorrow once I've been xx

pls let us know (hope nobody thought my suggestion to bring sample was 'inappropriate', but thought it might help you/them determine what it is...)

best wishes
