The further ur overdue the more chance of ur cervix being favourable.
its usual for them to go a sweep early.
i only had one bcos pregnancy complications and getting induced on Friday morning.

I wouldnt say it hurt but it was very uncomfortable.i have had a lot of pains and bleeding already and having some what i think are contractions.

    Goodluck

I think my OB snuck one in on me today! I was 3cms and very soft today too and I'm scheduled to be induced friday morning but ever since my "exam" I've been having contractions and I've been pretty crampy and now I'm spotting pretty heavy but its pink/brown......and my back hurts.....I'm starting to wonder if this is it :-/

I was too scared to have one, they wanted to give me one at 39 weeks but I refused. My son came on his own at 40+2 no problems.
I was too scared of the pain lol
I wouldnt have one this time either.
