My husband.... is stupid.

Yesterday, because of my MC, I was bleeding- a LOT- to the point where (sorry for TMI) that you could actually smell it. I wasn't feeling well, so I went to bed early. My husband comes up later, walks in the room, and says...

"What is that smell?! It smells like something died in here!"

:growlmad: Seriously? I know he wasn't thinking of it like that, and he felt really bad (I just started bawling), but jeez...

Sorry for all my negative posts... hoping my mood picks up soon.

Anyone else's OH say/do dumb things?

Awwww :hugs: I'm so sorry Hun. Men CAN be very thick sometimes. My OH regularly says some dumb things. He was insisting that I was pregnant this month because of my symptoms and he kept making pregnancy jokes and I said, "Stop making jokes about it, what if I'm not actually pregnant?" and he said, "Well if you're not, you're not, no big deal." I think it takes actual effort for men to be sensitive sometimes and I don't think they can always help it.

aww. i'm so sorry to hear! :hugs: my OH always says the dumbest things that get me furiated (usually non prego and non ttc related (when we were ttc)). it's like, do men even have brains?! :dohh:

Blokes just don't get it at all sometimes!!

My lovely DH fell asleep the night before last - even though I'd very very clearly indicated it was shag time. He made up for it last night, but I'm fairly sure it was only because I told him I'd been upset last night when he'd fallen asleep. He looked blankly at me - 'but I was tired'.

We'd already had the very recent talk about the tiny window of fertility opportunity - in very man-friendly terms. Terms that I don't think there is any chance of misunderstanding, i.e. I said: Did you know that there are only 2 or 3 days each month that we can get pregnant? If we don't shag on those days, it won't happen.

And still i get the blank look!!! He might be gorgeous and smart, but he's still thick as two short planks sometimes!!!

(apologies for the abuse of exclamation marks....)
