I have told a few family today, mostly separately and was just thinking about their reactions and giggling to myself. I was very luck and had all lovely ecstatic reactions but different between the sexes.......
All were offering congratulations etc, most men made a joke, ie so who's is it then? (I only married hubby in may) what took you so long. All in a lovely humoured way and mainly the men just saying congrats.
The women have all asked how I'm feeling which none of the men have and have also asked due date and if we'll find out the sex.

Lol I think it's just a man thing, if hubby gets baby news I ask ooh how far along, is she ok, he just shrugs and says I dunno. Anyone else noticed a difference in reactions?

Def. a big difference in gender reactions to baby stuff. My husband is like that when it comes to our own baby! Everyone who knows we are prego again asks how far along I am, he's like "babe...how far along are you" jeez, would it kill him to know?! He didn't even have the month right when one person asked him! And at dr. appt.'s and u/s's I am all giddy and he's like yup that's neat. They just don't express emotion like we do....though I will never forget how he was the day our daughter was born! It's easier for them when it's in their face and real I guess.

The men my OH works with ask him almost daily how things are, hows baby, hows the missus, and a 1000 other Qs. Whereas the women in his office havent mentioned it at all, not once, not even to congratulate him. I find this a bit odd to say the least.
