I was sharing some of the funny stories with my OH, that are on this website, of the pregnant girls mood swings etc, and he just said "oh well i think girls just use the pregnant thing to act like a b*tch, just like when girls blame there period for the same thing, if im in a bad mood i dont blame it on anything"

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Am i overreacting by being pissed off by this? I didnt scream at him or anything i just turned around and said im not trying to justify anything, and went back to doing what i was doing but boy oh boy it realy pissed me off, he has no idea when it comes to hormones.

Any ideas on how i can nicely proove that we arent just being bitches sometimes whe we get snappy, and that there is more to it? I havent gone off at him very mucha at all during my pregnancy so i dont know what the problem is..................

Please help ladies!!!!!!!!

I don't think you can prove it, because it isn't something they can relate to. I gave my DH the book "what to expect when you are expecting", and asked him to read the section meant for dads. He tries, but there are times when he just doesn't get it either. Men and women really are wired differently, and I think some men can be more compassionate and understanding than others - some are a bit more unflexible in their thinking....

I told my mom that my dad's role when I am going through labor is to have cue cards for my DH.... that simply say things like "yes, dear, you are doing great". "I know, I am sorry". "You look beautiful, and I am so proud of you" - so that when I cuss at him, he doesn't forget that he is not allowed to be ugly back to me, hahaha.

my boyfriend does it too. i find a cool story online that makes me excited/happy and i read it to him and he kills my mood with smirky comments...i wasted 10 mins listening to this becauseee...or why do i care... lol so i just blow it off now,but i know your pain

Ha! My DH is the opposite.... I feel like I stay pretty even-keeled, both when I'm PMS and when I'm preggo. I'm a little more emotional, but not bitchy or an overreacter.
But ANNNNNY time we're fighting about something he'll say, "I can't WAIT until this pregnancy is over so I don't have to deal with these hormones!!"
And I want to punch him!! No jerk-face... it's not hormones, you ACTUALLY did something wrong!! Grrr...

I'm about in the same boat as you. I'm been pretty level while being pregnant and was during PMS too. I was more emotional but not really grumpy or anything, I tend to get stressed out a little easier especially at work, but I've stayed pretty level. Now when we fight Oh man does he make me mad, he hasn't made a smirk comment yet, but he knows when I'm mad, I'm mad and he better shut his mouth haha

Not at all that was way out of line. I would of given him a peice of my mind. I dont know how to prove its for real other than to give him some reading material. Show him online what hormone and body changes are going on and how it feels. Maybe if he saw it written out by a dr or somethign he might belive you. My fiance has never said or done anything disrepectful of me, but there have been times where i just wish so much he could understand.
