Menstruation question...

Quick question...

Does anyone know what determines how long your period will be? Like mine is usually 5 or 6 days but on the last day it is usually just the brown blood. But sometimes it is shorter like 3 days, what determines the length of bleed time?

i dont really know.. so im sorry that i can't exactly help... i know with me that when i ovulate out of my left side my period is shorter and lighter because i ovulate earlier... and right side is heavier and longer and i ovulate later.. its really strange... sorry.. i know this doesn't help.. but i don't really think that it's a cause for concern if your periods are different once in a while.. maybe earlier ovulation?
