Metal/ bloody taste

Anyone know what causes it to come in random waves? It's not there all the time.
Was just in the shower and it tasted like my mouth was filled with blood, I actually had to check lol

Oh yeah! I remember having that with my first pregnancy (dd, now 4). I can't remember what it was but I remember Googling it and finding other people had the same.

I've got it too. Completely random. Usually when I can't get to a drink or mint to get rid. Not that it goes anyway

I had chewing gum in at work today, and I could taste it through it

Ugh! Yes I have the infamous "metal mouth" and have had it through all of my pregnancies so for me it wasn't gender specific. Makes everything taste rank and the only thing to get it to go away is eating.
