Has anyone used metformin? My doc just put me on it. I plan to start a cycle of clomid as soon as I get through this prometrium to kick start AF. I was told metformin might upset my stomach, but wanted to see if anyone else experienced this?

Haven't been on it but posted earlier about it as my gyno said last time I saw him that he might put me on it if I hadn't conceived by the time he saw me again. I see him on Monday. Not sure I wanna go on any drugs yet, as I'm only on cycle #5 of trying.
I've been on Metformin since my MC in August. It did make me very sick but it was more like it seemed to exacerbate PG symptoms. I could have sworn that I was pregnant that first month. After about two weeks I was fine and haven'th ad any problems at all since then. At my follow-up in October, all the cysts were gone! The medication works, so hang in there. I did take some anti-nausea medication recommended by the pharmacist at a nearby pharmacy and it really seemed to work. Feel free to ask me any questions. I'm also on my second round of Clomid with the Metformin
The pharmacist told me I would be sick for a week and then I would get used to it. Do you get violently sick? I just don't want to have to jump up and go to the bathroom while I'm work. How embarrassing that would be! I don't have any cysts, but my blood sugar is borderline (even though my A1C is just fine). So, my doc put me on Metformin to give me a boost. I have to take prometrium to get this cycle started and that's going to take at least 10 days.

i have been on it since june but can only take 1 a day...i was taking 2 a day then forgot to take them so had to work my way back up and im still doing that. lets just say u will probly find all the bathrooms in town and wont have a problem using public restrooms if u do) because u will be runing to them.the 1 and only time i took 3 pills i was feeling like complete crap and had my head in the toilet as well

been on metformin since august. the first day it made me really sick, and when i upped my dosage i was sick/nauseated also, but i've tolerated it pretty well since then. the trick is to half the dose and gradually build up to what you're supposed to take.
