Midwife appointment this afternoon, don't wanna go!

My appointment is at 3.05, which means about 4.05 ... she always runs late and then makes out like it is a rare thing to happen "oh dunno what has happened today" - yeah right, it happens EVERY time.
Plus I don't trust a single thing she says, whatever "advice" she gives contradicts what I get told at the hospital when I go for my checks there.
She speaks to you like you are a child and know nothing about pregnancy, babies etc even though I have a 4 year old!
And to top it off last time I went she wrote down my blood pressure reading and my fundal height measurement differently to what she had told me as she was doing it. I think that is quite dangerous, especially on the blood pressure to write down the wrong numbers!!

Uhhh please, please let it be a different midwife today, a sane one preferably!

Mine is jst as crap. She's always on at me to go to Slimming World..and always asking if my hubby beats me I get treated better than Madonna ffs, I am utterly spoilt, she wont believe me. How many hubbys make a treasure map game which eventully leads you to find 3 pieces of real Tiffany jewerly? Not ones who beat their ladies that for sure.

She gets right on my tits.

mine is so incompetent too. She seems to know nothing about babies and pregnancy, i also know i will be waiting atleast 45 mins before my appointment time. I don't get why it takes them so long? What exactly are they doing in that time if there is no pregnant woman in there with them?

I'm just gonna get mad thinking about my midwife. I am waiting until after i have had the baby and making a massive complaint about her. She has been so bad through both my pregnancies.

She talks to me like a child too, she reads stuff out as she is writing it and once she said 'wel make a midwife out of you yet' and then laughed at herself really loud....haha...yeah SHUT UP I'm actually going to punch you.

Then she'll go on about anecdotal evidence of some crap and get right shirty when I ask for the journal reference.

I must say though, my 1st MW with my son was just magical, she was a pure soul full of angelic godlike beauty!! haha, she was amazing!


I'm seeing mine on Monday, sigh. she'll be an hour late and then bollock me becuase I forgot to have my glucose test. Then she'll ask me if the most perfect gentleman on this planet beats me? Then she'll tell me I'm too fat and need to go Slimming World.

And this is the woman who will be touching my inner sanctum in a few months. fucks sake.

ha mine is just a mong, she is one of those people you just want to laugh at. She's about 50 and she was laughing at my last appointment with another midwife and she came in and said 'sorry i wrote something on facebook about me and the husband enjoying a nice bottle of wine lastnight' and then she started laughing loads and saying you need it with this job. I was like what? cos this is so stressful for you? You are s**t at what you do and take about 9 million breaks in a day. Also your on facebook? haha i tried to find her to laugh at her but i couldnt. xx

It's such a waste of an afternoon, I want to scream in the waiting room "I have to get back to work ffs" I understand there are so many people to see but can't understand why they insist on booking about 5 people in for the same appointment time and then act surprised when they can't get through them all on time.

Is it bad that I cancelled my appointment for this week? I just couldn't deal with her ... made a new one for next week in hopes I won't be totally exhausted and able to sit there for an undetermined amount of time, as it always happens... I just didn't have it in me this week, as I've been sleeping (if you want to call it that) horribly, and at my wits end most of the day (I keep wondering how in the heck am I going to make it another 12 (or more) weeks!!! )

one of the mw's i had did that with my fundal measurments... she said i was measuring the same but wrote me down as 26cm then marked me as 25 :/ weird...

I correct the mistakes she makes in my notes - eg She put down I had my first son pre term - no I didnt I was a week OD with him.

my doctor is terribly late all the time as well, and I haven't been able to sleep the past two nights, he makes me wait for two hours before seeing but then only sees me for 10 mins like I have a disease and he needs to get out quick. Right now I am seeing him every two weeks and he wants me to get monitored twice every week also. Just because I have GD although its under control with only one shot of insulin at night and a healthy diet. I def need a nap before today's appt or I will be showing him my bad side.

Well it went ok, only running 30 mins behind today but that was still a pain, hate waiting.
Yet again talked to me like I'm a child but I just smiled and nodded along.
She asked if I had booked anymore appointments I said yes I have one booked for 40+4 but none after that ... hoping I don't even get to needing the 40+4 one to be honest, come on baby, let's hope that was the last time we have to go and see her!

Is there any children centers near you?
My MW at my Dr's is crap. 1st one i saw was great then the one after her well she was rude, hurried things along didnt answer my questions or worries.
I then found out that they do MW clinics at children centers.
I booked one and wow the difference! U can book how long u want it too!! strange i got a 30 min one 2morro.
Find ur nearest children center give them a call and ask
I always find people who work there more friendly tbh
