Midwife appt- aftermath of blood test :(

Feeling extremely tired, nauseous and metallic taste in mouth :/
So I had my m/w appointment today, I was measured she says I'm measuring a little small, but nothing to worry about. She did all the usual BP, urine and I got to listen to babys heartbeat again and then the worst came I told her about my itchy feet (I've itched them so much they've bled) so she said I had to have my blood taken, which I knew she was going to say.. And well it hurt so much as I'd not had time to put numbing cream on I'm so bad with needles :/ I nearly fainted when shr was taking my blood and LO was kicking me hard!! Think he already knows his mummys a wuss!! Haha..

But now I still feel really sick, tired and have a strong metallic taste in my mouth.. And cant get to sleep because LOs kicking me I'm just fed up atm and so tired :/

Thanks just feel quite groggy and worn out.. I was fine all weekend and after my appointment this morning I feel rubbish!! I'm so bad with needles too at least ita all for LO x

Awwww hun its real hard when you have a phobia, I had bad itching so bad when pregnant with Layla my legs were the worst culprit luckily was nothing to worry about so hope it eases soon for you xxx

I hate needles I'm also sick of the 'how are you going to cope with childbirth then!' comment which really angers me as it's totally different! I know for a fact I wont have an epidural because of how petrified of needles I am! Lol

The itching does seemed to have eased up, but it's better to be safe than sorry

Oh hugs hun. Your prob feeling so groggy because of your phobia hun. I have a fear of needles but not a phobia, but I know how you feel as I have a severe phobia of vomit. I am currently nearly having panic attacks because everyone at work is coming down with this nasty stomach bug and really dont want it. I have two weeks left to work and don't know how I will cope.

I have been sedated before to have blood taken. during this pregnancy I found I had oc and had to have blood tests daily, best place I have found is the path lab at hospital they use a baby needle and 1 syringe to get the blood then fill up the 3 viles. I must admit it hurts a little still and I always feel tired and shaky afterwards but I found water and a snack help
