MIL dropped by out of the blue early this morning *grrr* to bring me a bunch of charms and religious bands she wants me to tie around my waist as much as possible to keep the baby healthy (dead serious). She also asked to see the most recent ultrasounds that we got last week when we found out that we're team pink. She took one look at the ultrasound and said "Oh well that's OBVIOUSLY a boy. The doctor surely got it wrong". Whatever. I would have just shrugged it off but after she left she text my husband to tell him not to buy anything for the baby until the next appointment (in a MONTH!) because she's sure it's a boy. We haven't bought a single thing for the baby waiting for our gender scan and we were going to go on Father's Day and buy the first bits for our daughter but NOW the MIL has scared my husband into thinking the doctor was wrong so now he doesn't want to buy anything yet just in case.
This woman has NEVER had an ultrasound herself (both of her kids are over 30 so she never had one), and her daughter has never been pregnant. I don't know why she thinks she suddenly knows more about ultrasounds than my OBGYN but oh well. Damage is done now.
Here is the potty shot. Does anyone see anything there that suggests a boy? I'm not getting it.
