What do you do when you run out of milk and you can't get any? I drink skim milk and OH drinks soy milk. Can I give my LO either of them?

when we run out, i just give my daughter our milk. we drink 2%, but i have had to give her skim while we were at a friends house once. it's not going to hurt you LO, i would probably give them you skim milk rather than the soy product though, their little belly might not agree with it.

It won't hurt anything, I wouldn't do skim on a regular basis just because they need that extra fat but one cup won't hurt them :) It's pretty much the same thing just less fat. Hayden I can't do that with, he only has rice milk so if we run out he just has to have water or something like that until we get more, he can't drink our regular milk

I've used skim milk on Hannah's cereal in the mornings when we've run out of her milk. Usually though I just give her water to drink and than buy milk as soon as I can get to the store. I figure one day without (or without much milk) probably won't do any harm

In Holland we are recommended to give our lo's (at 1 year) skim and not Full fat milk - I found it odd! I bf so I dont give him milk but once or twice if ive been out at night we will use the skim.

When we've run out we've given our LO semi-skimmed, I figure once every now and then won't hurt!

we have skim in the house so thats what she gets!
