Just wondering how the mirena has effected anybody elses cycles after removal?

I had my first mirena about 7 years ago after my first son, had it removed after 3 years and fell pregnant 2-3 months after with my 2nd son.

Had my 2nd mirena about 4 years ago, had it removed in October.

Since then I have had 2 normal periods and a few days of random spotting in between. I'm currently cd34 and 16dpo based on a positive opk. I cant check bbt as I work nights. Negative pregnancy tests. My cycles used to be 28-30 days long.

I know 4 months isn't long to be trying, but when googling I'm finding more people seem to say their cycles are normal almost immediately and fall pregnant quickly, I'm worried the mirena has messed my cycles up :growlmad:

How has everyone elses cycles been after mirena removal?

Thanks :)

No advice but wanted to follow your thread if anyone answers since I am having my Mirena removed on Thursday!

Thanks, hopefully your cycle gets back to normal quicker than mine!

I had my mirena removed in October. My cycles have been 23/24 days an I ovulate on cd13. But they are much, much lighter than before I had it fitted. I had my last coil out April 2001 and was pregnant 5 weeks later, thus time it's been harder although I'm older...so my cycles are regular but something not right.......think i have thin lining problems

I did not have mirena but non-hormonal IUD.
It is not supposed to change cycles but after removal I got a 45days long cycle and then 35 days long and then back to normal.
But I'm still TTC, I am at cycle #9 now.
I blamed the IUD too last year and was very upset. But obviously it was not the IUD. Fertility can change, it's not supposed to work right away all life long.
Good luck on your new TTC journey!
Wish you all the best
