missed 3 pills??

ok, i forgot to take my pills for 3 days...having a 6 month old baby keeps your mind VERY BUSY!! So i got my period..that's how i even remembered i forgot my pills...I waited till Sunday to start my new pack...now, i read online for 2 weeks after that to use back up birth control methods...WHOOPS!! I didn't know that. What do you all think? Anybody gotten pregnant this way? I really don't think I want my children 15 months apart...
Just give me some imput...I cant test for another week...yikes!!

When I get off BCP it takes my body several weeks to start ovulating again. I know some women spontaneously ovulate when they miss a pill, but not me.
