Missed my surge? OPK and Cervix question.

Hello lovely ladies.

First things first I know this test is not positive. I do have a point to this post lol. Please bare with me and read this.

This month I wasn't going to opk or anything. Just BD very second day. And so far we have but OH must have known I was missing it and came home with a ton of IC's ovulation tests for me. Last night I figured what the hell. It was CD 11 of a 28 day cycle. Last month I didn't get a positive until CD 19. Anyways. Last nights test was super dark but NOT positive. It was 9 pm. I was going to stay up until 12 to take another but fell asleep. Gave in and did one this morning and got this. Will be taking another at 11 and 4 today. I did check my cervix however and it's very soft wet and feels open to me(I check daily and have never felt it this open) so now I'm wondering if lasts nights had I stayed up would have been positive.

Here is a pic of my 9pm test(top) and this mornings(bottom) Now I know no one can tell me for sure if it was leading up to a positive but I'd still appreciate opinions. I have no EWCM but I don't think I have ever had it before ad I have two daughters already so I'm not sure it's a sign for me.

( P.S. my tests usually go from very light to dark to positive over a few days, they usually aren't constantly dark then positive)

Have you thought of trying the clear blue digital ovulation tests, it's either a digital smiley face indicator or nothing at all, I find the lines or lh strip ones the colour always varies even from brand to brand and don't seem that accurate....

The digital ones seem like a ridiculous amount of money if I'm just testing to ease my mind. We are still DTD every second day so it's not likely we will miss it I just like to have an idea. My 11 am test was still dark but not as dark as this mornings. Going to keep testing but think my surge went through last night.

Have you thought about any other tests like the saliva test kits you can get also?
