Missed period, negative test!!!

Hi, my husband and I have been ttc for around 10 months. My periods are regular and my cycle is usually 30 - 31 days. I was due for AF yesterday and still today nothing. I usually have discharge around 4 - 5 days leading up that starts off really. Light brown and then gets darker. This month I didn't have that. All I have had is a milky white discharge that just gets thicker each day. I was holding off taking a test so I wouldn't get my hopes up but today I did. It was negative. How long should I wait before I test again? I have an appointment with my doctor in 3 days as we were starting to look at ivf options. Any ideas would be great!!

Hi sorry I can't be of much help but I am going through the same thing and from what I have read some people don't get a positive test until a week after missed period so you should keep testing. Good luck x

It's a horrible feeling not knowing. And I've had like fluttering movement in my abdomen like I'm meant to have my period and that is meant to be a sign of early pregnancy. I'm going to test tomorrow morning before I go to the doctor. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

If your going to the doctor anyway to discuss ivf options, say your late and ask for a blood test. It'll tell you before home tests would. And the discharge sounds lkke early pregnancy rather than AF coming. Good luck

Have had a blood test and will wait for the results. Did another test today and it was negative. The doctor didn't sound optimistic as she said that the tests are pretty accurate so I've given up hope. I'm more annoyed at why I would have missed a period as I have never missed one my whole life. Will let you know the results. Still have white discharge as well and more than what I think I have had any other time.

maybe you had late implantation and it won't show up on test yet, but hopefully bloods will tell you the answer.

Do you think you might have ovulated later this cycle and so AF would be expected later?

I had used ovulation kits and did not get a positive result all month. So I had assumed I hadnt not ovulated. What would be a reason for missing a regular period with no pregnancy? Mel102 have you found out yet?

so you didnt ovulate this month? maybe you just had an anovulatory cycle?

have you had extra stress or anything this month?

No no extra stress, if anything I was less stressed with situations in my life being over. If I didn't ovulate I would still get my period right?

if you dont ovulate, sometimes you dont get a period, your body might keep trying to ovulate,and that may also be why you have some white discharge.

Just my thoughts, hopefully i am wrong and u are pregant!

Thanks for the advice. I think it's a no for this month. We will be going to see a fertility specialist so see what the future bring us.

I once had a really long cycle, with very delayed ovulation and i had patches of white stretchy CM. Eventually I did ovulate but my cycle was like 65 days!! But it was because i was travelling across time zones and it completely messed my cycle up.
