Amy had her 1st MMR injection (the 13 month one) on Friday 19th. She seemed okay after the jab and yesterday she did a couple of really sloppy nappies, diarrhoea which was almost like water (sorry for the tmi!) but generally seemed okay within herself.
This morning though I woke up to find she'd been sick everywhere and she seems quite irritable and clumbsy (but that could just be because she didn't sleep well?).

I was wondering what reactions your LO's had after their 1st MMR and whether Amy's seemed normal? I was expecting her to be a bit sicky, have a few sloppy nappies, go off her food and be a bit tired but I wasn't expecting her to be quite so bad. I'm worried about her

Has she got a temperature?
Could she be poorly with something else?

H went quite wobbly with a temperature, but she hasn't had her next round of jabs yet - if she had, I might have just assumed it was that iykwim? :flower:

We can't take her temperature because our thermometer broke this morning (typical eh? lol) but will be going to buy a new one as soon as the shops open. She doesn't seem to be running a temperature...she doesn't feel overly warm or look flushed.

I don't think it's anything else. OH was ill earlier in the week but he's pretty certain it was something he ate instead of a bug.

My son was pretty ill after his MMR. They said that it might have been he was getting something when he had the jab, then he had a worse reaction/experience of the illness because of that. He was really ill and I remember taking him to the GPs because of it. Try not to worry too much, but a call to nhs direct doesn't hurt if you're worried :hugs:

Riya had her MMR on friday and fortunately has not had any reaction as yet. I would call NHS direct if you're worried , no harm in it and will put your mind at rest.

When Olivia got her's she had a fever and was very slow and grouchy all day and a few days after that..but other than that she was fine.

Hannah just had a slight temperature...

There are a lot of bugs going round at the moment so maybe your LO has picked up a bug at the same time as having her MMR which has made it worse. Has she got a temp? Give NHS direct a call or pop her down to your local out of hours doctor just to get them to check her over.

Imogen was fine after hers but if you're worried give NHS direct a call hun.

We have all had a terrible sicky bug and i know from lots of friedns that its all over the country x

I've just seen this after posting exactly the same thing. Ruby had hers 9 days ago and for the last 3 days has not really eaten, awful nappies, high temp, rash and just plain miserable :(
