I have been off work ill for ages now due to hyperemesis and spd...im not entitled to sick pay from work so have ben claiming employment and support recently i had to go to a medical and because im fit to walk...a little...they have decided to stop my benifits!!!!
I am appealing this as i work in a sports shop and cant stand for 9 hour shifts up and down ladders and carrying crates around!
Im planning o hand in my notice soon...But was wondering if anyone knows when i can apply for income support??
Im sure i was told from 29 weeks pregnant but cant rememeber
Does anyone know?

Kimberley and bump 26 weeks tomorrow xxx

yeh its 29 weeks. i will be claiming it, im claiming employment and support atm because of hyperemesis as well.
im surprised they are stopping it. i have to go every 4 weeks to get a new sick note and prescription and there has never been an issue. i just tell them although i am a lot better now i cant do much and even going out shopping makes me really sick, they dont question it.

Aaaw hun I'm sorry :hugs: I don't have any answers I'm afraid but you only have 3 weeks to get through and then you can get income support :) xxx

well i didnt think id have a problem as my doctor is still giving me sicklines as im ot fit to work...but at my medical because im not metally ill and can walk a bit...im fit to work...dont see how when im being sick all the time and can hardly walk!! so no idea what im expected to live on until i can claim income support xxx

Iv been putting off going to my medical for months :haha: I was claiming sick benefit as i have something wrong to me that means i have 2 get an op every so often but wi bein pregnant i cant get the op so im quite often in pain, and also i now have SPD. But i know what the benefit place is like so i just kept foning on the day of the medical sayin i wasnt upto coming in :haha:
Income support is 29 weeks. Im sure if u appeal you will win your case and get your money back dated!! Its not fair for them to just stop your money!! xxx

maybe you could say you want a second opinion and say that yes you can walk but the really painful and walking around at the drs is very different to being on your feet all day. if you have to exaggerate a bit.
