The Mooncup is a reusable menstrual cup around two inches long and made from soft silicone rubber. It is worn internally like a tampon but collects menstrual fluid rather than absorbing. Unlike tampons the Mooncup is not a disposable product, so you only need to buy one.

Anybody used these?

I'm tempted!

Once you have perfected it you will be amazed at how simple the Mooncup is to use. You will need to empty, rinse or wipe and reinsert your Mooncup every four to eight hours depending on your flow. The fluid remains inside the cup, and the process is not messy or uncomfortable.

Apparantly

how can u take it out wiout it bein messy??!!! wot if u spill it LMAO

Well I dunno thats why I'm asking :shipw:

k scary thought..... public loo.... ur no gunna wash it there!!!

well if u do decide 2 go green let us know!!!

Ive heard of these.

Ive read of women using them to keep sperm in to help get pregnant, not sure if i fancy using one.

I have never seen these before and with the problems i am having with tampax they seem the best choice but a bit wierd!

If you know you are going to be going out them you wash it before you go out.
it gives you 4 hrs.

Hmmmmm not 100% though

Ah you did find it

I'd like to try one I think!

you could always get two and carry one as a spare if youre going out

"if anyone has a problem with me washing it in public they can kiss my bum!! "

 same as!

I actually own a mooncup and it was bought for me by my hubby!!!!
He had been on at me to try one for yrs and i kept say ewww no!

But i was quite surprised!
it took a little while to get used to, and was a bit fiddly initially - you need to make sure you get the right size for you! there is a size A and B one before child birth and one for after

there is a stem that you cut to suit to make it more comfortable, i've cut mine off completely, but because it is more natural than having a wad of cotton wool shoved or applied somewhere it doesnt dry you internally and contains no chemicals so some people find their periods lighter and they dont last as long.

With the public loo cenario you can use the toliet paper to wipe it out and reinsert, then give it a good clean later. it doesnt smell coz the blood isnt in contact with air and it remains sterile.

Its certainly worht a try and i think if oyu are not converted by the 3rd peroid they will refund you. there are different makes on the market but basically all the same. I still wear a light pad on my heaviest days as i haven't yet got total trust in it, as i am quite  heavy.
