I know that everyone has a different experience with morning sickness so I thought I'd compile some of that information. Today I got a pretty decent wave of nausea, no vomiting, just nausea. So let's here how everyone's experience with ms is going.

Answer these please!

1) When did you first experience ms (when did it start)?
2) Was it just nausea or nausea with vomiting?
3) Would it come in brief waves or last all day?
4) How do you treat it?

Any additional info is welcome.

Thanks ladies!

1) When did you first experience ms (when did it start)? Not sure if mine is ms or not, but one day past my missed period I just had no appetite.
2) Was it just nausea or nausea with vomiting? 5 days later, I still have no appetite and the last couple days I've felt unsettled. Only a couple times did I think I would actually be sick, but it never happened.
3) Would it come in brief waves or last all day? It comes in waves that last awhile - longer than the good times in between
4) How do you treat it? I've been eating crackers and trying to stay hydrated. Doctor said it's normal to have no appetite, just to try to eat small meals and most importantly stay hydrated.

1) When did you first experience ms (when did it start)?
5w3d...

2) Was it just nausea or nausea with vomiting?
Nausea

3) Would it come in brief waves or last all day?
Wouldn't say brief waves as they lasted longer than 30 mins or so, but not all day either.

4) How do you treat it?
Zofran 4x a day and when it doesn't let up, I drink peppermint tea.

1) nausea

2) non stop vomiting most days and constant nausea the rest

3) nothing worked... at all... except tablets from doc SOME DAYS

Also it didnt go away til 17-18 weeks... :(

Mine set in at 6 weeks
It was just nausea, had a few times where I wished I could get sick, but nothing ever came up!
It was 24/7.... I couldn't function or get out of bed!
Doc prescribed Diclectin, 4 tablets a day. They aren't cheap (85$ for a 12 day supply, thank god for health plans!), but they are working miracles for me!!

1st bub I was around 7-8 weeks and I vomited everyday until around 22 weeks.
2nd pregnancy I was 6.5 weeks and was vomiting every day also up until around 23 weeks and on and off till term.
It felt like an all day hangover and vomiting 1-3 times a day from the moment I woke.
Oh and nothing helped me not even tablets from the GP.
Ginger is meant to help and also eating 6-7 times a day.

I'm just 5 1/2 weeks, but so far... I felt a little nauseous, dizzy, and without much appetite right when my period was due, but nothing major. It's gradually gotten more intense, but eating a small amount often keeps it under control. I have to be careful not to eat to much; a few nights ago I felt good and was hungry, so ate a complete meal in one sitting, then paid for it with 6 hours of nausea and burning indigestion. Based on what I've read from other people, I'm afraid it'll get really bad for me in a week or so. I'm also insanely tired.

1 and 2) I first had some nausea (brief waves) at 6.5 weeks. Then I have had all day nausea for the majority of the week from 7 weeks (still here at 10 weeks).
3) I usually vomit 2-3 times per week.
4) To treat on my bad days I usually just lay around trying to drink very very cold drinks. But I am useless and lay in bed all day. On my non-vomit days, I try to eat tiny meals and sniff lemons and lavendar or sandalwood.

I feel somewhat lucky as mine is like a "cycle"... 2 or 3 bad days, 2 or 3 just nausea, 2ish good days...

1) When did you first experience ms (when did it start)?
6-7 weeks

2) Was it just nausea or nausea with vomiting?
Just nausea but quite severe to start with

3) Would it come in brief waves or last all day?
The first few days it would come in waves, then I had a really bad few days where I was bed ridden all day feeling proper sick, and then it went back to coming in waves of 20 or so minutes throughout the day

4) How do you treat it?
Sea bands, ginger root tablets, eating little and often (grapes are a godsend), drinking water, lying down when the waves of nausea come (if I'm at home)... Lying down seems to really help.

Mine started at 5 weeks. All day nausea and vomiting about 10 times a day. Have lost a stone in weight since my bfp. Doctor prescribed Stemitil which has helped me keep food down and now only sick 3-4 times a day. Mostly if i go too long without eating. Hopefully will ease up soon. xx

Started gradually over last 4 days, occasioanl waves of nausea lasting about 30 min - 1 hr. Gradually getting more frequent until this morning when bang!!! at 4am Really bad nausea and still have it now, not been sick (yet) but a couple of incidences of retching.

Walking dog in fresh air helped a little this morning, not tried anything else. Any hints and tips would be great, I work in NHS and see patient through day so really hoping i dinnt start actually being sick as it will be come really hard to hide it then!!!

1) When did you first experience ms (when did it start)?
About 6 weeks

2) Was it just nausea or nausea with vomiting?
Just nausea, have only vomited twice since then and both through brushing teeth, ick.

3) Would it come in brief waves or last all day?
Started as brief waves, mostly when hungry or eating a little too much. Now it appears whenever it feels like it. Had at least a few days where I've felt it mildly all day long.

4) How do you treat it?
Brief waves through nibbling ginger biscuits, or I just sit and wait it out.

I started feeling nauseous at about five weeks. It always hits me around four a.m. (I normally work nights). At 7w2d I started throwing up at about 8 a.m. every day when I got home. I'd usually have a few bouts of dry heaving before then. I'm 9 weeks now and I haven't vomited for a few days, but I still get the nausea and the retching. I'm also away for work right now and in a time zone where I'm sleeping through my worst time for nausea. Usually when I start to get heartburn and feel sick, it means I need to eat something, even though food is the last thing I want. Typically I feel loads better if I do, though I get full very fast.

Ill do it for both my pregnancies. :) top one is my first and bottom is my current!

1) When did you first experience ms (when did it start)?
-it started around 6 weeks and still was kind of around up until I went into labor at 23 weeks
2) Was it just nausea or nausea with vomiting?
- just nausea up until about my second trimester, and then I experienced some vomiting. Sometimes I wish I could have vomited because I felt miserable.
3) Would it come in brief waves or last all day?
- all day
4) How do you treat it?
- I found that lemon candies and lemon juice helped.

1) When did you first experience ms (when did it start)?
-Started around 6 weeks, and I'm almost 10 weeks now and I barely notice it now.
2) Was it just nausea or nausea with vomiting?
-Nausea and no vomiting!
3) Would it come in brief waves or last all day?
-Usually comes on more as the day goes by.
4) How do you treat it?
-It hasn't been too bad so I'm just dealing with it normally :)

1) 7 weeks... I thought I was going to get away without any this time
2) Vomiting upwards of 10 times a day and constantly feeling like I'm going to.
3) This is all day long with like the exception of an hour or so a day where I just feel slightly nauseous and manage to try and get some fluids into me.
4) I was on Diclectin with Metoclopramide to use when needed but the diclectin does petty much nothing and the Metoclopramide works but makes me really restless and strange so I can't take it. Next step is trying to see if my insurance will cover zofran. I've also been hospitalized for IV fluids and meds.

Thanks for all of the answers ladies!!

Hoping all you guys still going through ms feel better soon! :hugs:

1) When did you first experience ms (when did it start)?
With my first it started about 8wks and lasted through till the day before he was born. With #2 It started about 6wks and lasted till he was born, With #3 Started 6ish weeks and lasted till 14/16wks, during those periods of time i would be vomiting at least once a day upto about once an hour at times with my firstborn, or if i Had a cold or cough it would make it worse. This pregnancy has been more nausea but actually being sick every other day till I got a Nasty flu then its been several times a day for the last 9 days due to all the coughing.
2) Was it just nausea or nausea with vomiting?Nausea triggered by smells normally and vomiting a periodically,
3) Would it come in brief waves or last all day?Waves of Nausea where it got bad enough to vomit but severe food aversions all day
4) How do you treat it? water with lemon in it, carrying a bottle of water with me and sipping it when i feel queasy, eatting little and often though thats hard when you have aversions to most foods but i found plain crackers in the morning before getting up helps

Just tried fruit pastilles after having nausea all day and feel a little better - random but glad i tried (i had read someting on here about lemon sweets so thought i would go buy some but they only had fruit pastilles lol)

just a note - with my first (DS) I had zero MS except for 1x I threw up after eating a tuna melt around 11 weeks.

1) When did you first experience ms (when did it start)?
around 5.5 weeks - at 7.5 weeks I was put on diclectin and it subsided for almost 2 weeks, then it came back around 9 weeks full force.

2) Was it just nausea or nausea with vomiting?
both - nausea all day until I would eat and vomit, then I feel good for about an hour and then the nausea sets back in.

3) Would it come in brief waves or last all day?
all day - every day...

4) How do you treat it?
Currently... by not eating - I'm trying an all liquid diet starting today to see if that helps, taking ginger capsules and diclectin and will re-assess at my appointment next week if it hasn't gotten any better.
