They have sent out the wrong item twice!! I dont know if any of you lovely ladies have invested in the offer that Mothercare were doing a while ago, but if you buy the Silver Cross Surf, you get the free Ventura S Baby Car seat. We received our order all happy and everything, Untill we realized on the box that it said Ventura Plus!! So today the mothercare delivery man came to pick up the old Ventura Plus car seat in place of the Ventura S but delivered the exact same car seat again!!! THAT IS NOW TWICE THEY HAVE DELIVERED THE WRONG CAR SEAT!! The Ventura Plus will not fit in my car as it is too big for my car!! What idiots!!! xx

I found the best way to get Mothercare to play ball was to threaten to take/send everything back for a full refund. But yes, they are completely useless.

i bought it and it came scratched to pieces, i had a thread on here lil while ago everyone telling me how useless they are

they recently delivered my new one, "next day" and it didnt turn up, i was away for the weekend when they returned so now my pram and car seat are sitting in the depot with them refusing to re deliver.!

hoping i get the correct car seat !

I ordered my things to get delivered on a Monday, half came on the Saturday before and then on Monday.....nothing came, rang them and they span some crap about how they were using a different delivery company and the rest ended up turning up on the Wednesday! I was so angry. X

Oh god my pram is due a week friday panicing. X

Tbh I had a nice experience with them, I started my BabyPlan at 12 weeks where I chose my cot, moses basket and stand. I was paid off by 20 weeks and I was told I couldn't have it delivered until the date I agreed (another 14 weeks to wait) which I understand but was slightly irritating. However, it was delivered on the date I agreed with everything present. I agree with whats been said, threaten to send back for a full refund.

I've unfortunately had a bad experience as well. There were two missed deliveries when the courier just didn't show up. After that, they turned up a day earlier or a day later than arranged and of course nobody was home. They attempted delivery 4 times and then returned all the stuff to the depot!
I went to the nearby mothercare and complained, and ended up having to carry everything home with DH. Fortunately, there weren't any items that were too large but it was a big order and a nuisance to carry!

God Forbid I ever walk into A mothercare Worker because I might just rip their head off, after telling me they will definitely have my car seat with me by tomorrow, I have just spoken to another dippy idiot on the phone who have now informed me that the car seat is on pre order untill 3rd September 2012!! Ill be 37 weeks then!! WHAT COMPLETE USELESS UTTER IDIOTS!!.. And what happens if I go into labour from 37 weeks? huh? The hospital are hardly going to let me walk out of hospital with NO CAR SEAT!! Im going to rip them a new A**Hole when they ring me back... oh hold on a minute.. thats IF they call me back, I always get told ill get a call back and never do!! I am so stressed right now I am scared to get in my car and drive home incase I cause an accident!! xx

what why september? they delivered mine this morning, a surf with a silver cross car seat,

I got my nursery furniture from mothercare and the screw broke when we were putting it together. They kindly agreed to send us some more but we had to ring them 3 times to get them sent out and they just kept saying "they are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow" this was over 3 week period.

I bought a silver cross pram car seat & free changing bag they tried doing me out of the bag and didn't deliver they then told me to pay £35 so I kicked off next day it was delivered x

ah it is so sad so many of you have had a bad expereince. Our cot, pram and carseat arrived today (scheduled delivery date) with no problems. My only complaint was that they will not bring it into the house for you. although in fairness it does say that on the letter. so DH had to work from home today to take the order..... i would have thought that a delivery company that presumably deliver mostly to heavily pregnant woman would bring it in the house, but seems not.
overall though a great experience with mothercare.

I waited in all day today for a delivery after being told it was scheduled to be delivered for today between 7.30 and 5.30 (also what's up with that surley they can narrow it down to am or pm!!) i didn't even have a shower this morning cuz I was worried about missing the delivery time, well 5.30 came and went no delivery so emailed mothercare in my anger (have been trying to occupy Sophie in the house all day) then get a knock at the door at 7.45 apparently his van broke down, I wouldn't normally be so sinical n would feel sorry for the guy if that wouldn't have been one of the excuses they put on there web site as a reason for delivery not turning up, seems a bit suspicious if you ask me! Oh well at least I have my bouncer.
I must say tho I had quite a few things delivered from them on Monday as well and the box was huge, the man did bring it into my house for me which I was pleased about as I'd heard they wouldn't, hope you get your car seat sorted soon xx

Mothercare delivery company just brought us a second cot (funnily enough we only ordered one which arrived yesterday) i was honest and sent it back lol. Delivery man seeed very disgruntled lol

Well I've rung up mothercare this morning and apparently there are three of the Ventura S Graphic in stock around the stores in UK. They are trying to get this delivered to my local mothercare store so I can pick it up! If they dont get it sorted all hell will break loose! I do not want to worry about not having a car seat to take my baby home in because of them being useless!!! Im expecting a call from the manager by 11am! I doubt they will call though xx

Wow I've never had that much trouble with mothercare, the only issue I had was that here the delivery hours go up to 9pm so I never knew whether to have it delivered to work or home, it's always been good stuff though, I'm so sorry you guys got the raw end!

I wasn't impressed when I ordered my steriliser and although it arrived on the day they said it would they delivered it to the wrong house (even though the address was right) and I had nothing through my door to tell me and they didn't make the other house sign for it! Granted that's probably more to do with the courier but its not good practice!

My poor experience with mothercare stemmed from courier problems, but the reason I hold mothercare responsible is a) my contract is with them not the courier so they need to deal with it and b) mothercare washed their hands totally when it was in the courier's network and didn't give a rats ass about it.

Can I just check with you ladies who ordered your Silver Cross Surf Prams with free car seat, on the side of the box did it have Ventura Plus S?
